​@Leopard Boas Chronometer grade is the Sellita equivalent to a top grade. Sellita uses the "chronometer grade" terminology for their calibers but either top or chronometer grade are both the higher levels of calibers that are traditionally used to be sent in for chronometer certification. Bit of semantics here but needless to say, an elevated grade is here with this one.

@@jklee369 never ordered the noble. I was going to wait and see some reviews after release but this will certainly fit my wrist better so I went ahead and ordered the brown fume dial. Free bracelet is a big plus. This is also chronometer grade which Monta is not

better to just save up and get the aqua terra. Can't compare an inhouse co-axial movement with silicon hairspring to a sellita, not to mention 150M water resistance on the omega, brand value and heritage. A used 39mm aqua terra can be found for under 2.5k, but people are open to have their own opinion and find value in different things.

Lol, oh yes, very afraid. Sellita incoming on a budget vs. Aqua Terra. LOL! Yeah... NO. This is a budget watch. The OMEGA is NOT a "value" prop watch. Omega - lifelong brand history and equity. This stuff... NOT so much. Without internet hype from these "watch influencers" or "product promotion specialists", nobody would even care.

Got an email from them several days ago, for a discount (which they hardly ever do), bracelet no extra charge with a strap from Formax, bought 3 watches from them, and awaiting the diver to be shipped to me. Don't need another Essence, but highly recommend them and new logo and 39mm would be great. I think even most Formex owners goofed about the name and logo, for just cause. Sometimes German or French name's do not have the same meanings, even if it's portmanteau. Changing the logo is good, and the price of their watches you are getting more then your monies worth. One of the best bracelets, straps, deployant in the business. Especially for the money and they don't beat your head if you want to other the strap to back up a bracelet.

Thanks for the review. I have been wondering when someone would cover it. I was an early adopter of the Formex (blue) Essence (COSC) pre-ordering it early in 2019. I was retiring from my church of 29 years and the church knew I was a watch guy so they told me to buy whatever I wanted. I did a lot of homework on many brands and this is what I bought. (on pre-release it was only $875.00) an unbelievable price for what you received. I was blown away at the myriad attentions to detail as well as uniqueness like the floating movement and carbon fiber clasp. My only regret is I would loved to have had the new logo. :)

Believe it or not, I prefer the proportions of the larger watch (which I actually own, btw). The 39mm case is probably a better fit for most people, but the bezel looks the same as the old one, with the 3mm coming from the dial. So, the proportions seem a bit off to me. I like the new logo and the additional green dial color, though. Kudos to them for listening to their customers.

For some reason, "Formex" just sounds to me like a brand of construction materials. The old logo looked like a watch you got as a retirement gift after 25 years of selling Formex blown insulation. I think the new logo is a pretty good improvement on that, but the name choice is still unfortunate.

Really nice watches, I liked the green color. . For me this is maybe the first time I have seen a watch I would really like to own. But honestly I am not sure I want to spend maybe $2000 on a watch, as it likely would cost buying and getting it into my country. I think it's a bit expensive, but dimension/design-wise I think it's a winner: Lots of brands who produce 38-39mm's make, imho, the mistake to make way too long lugs. For me (6, 3/4 inch wrist) maximum lug width is 47 mm (Like my Bambino, 41mm diameter, although a little too large, imho, its lug width 47 made me go for it). From the top of my head: Baltic & Tissot all make 39 mm watches, with lug widths reaching over 47 and I think this is a mistake for smaller wrists. I would consider buying this one, also because of its symmetry: Me no like dates at 3 o' clock: I think it breaks the symmetry of the dial. Also I like Allen screws (this is not the verb)...
