Pennywise, the Dancing Clown, is a killer who feeds off his victims’ fears. It is empowers by fear. Of course, Nate has been in a constant struggle to overcome his fear, which he has anthropomorphized in his music.

Most of his videos are metaphors or what's going on in his head. So that's why the videos have references on the walls, it's dark, dirty, and eery. That's how he felt at the time. He tries to paint a picture for us and what a good job he does! And you are correct the reference to "definition of success" is in HOPE. His definition of success was unclear at the time but now he has clarity of "his success" which he stated in HOPE.
