not quite... "Sturmabteilung" translates to "Stormdivision or Stormsection". "Sturmtruppen" (the literal translation of Stormtroopers) were actual German units that fought during WW1. They were elite units specifically trained to storm enemy fortifications...hence the name...They were used to great effect on the eastern Front (especially by Generalfeldmarschall August von Mackensen - the famous "Last Hussar") they weren't as effective on the western Front, although Erwin Rommel did break through the French lines at Chemin des Dames with the use of Stormtroopers units and his Royal Württemberg Mountaineer ("Königlich Württembergisches Gebirgskorp") troops... although he eventually had to fall back because his supply lines were in danger, as the rest of the imperial army hadn't been able to keep up...
@wolfplayer78156 жыл бұрын

Anyway, I'm too tired to have this argument again, so I'll just repost my comment to another guy who made this same proposition. Note: don't take anything said here personally, the guy I was arguing with just really pissed me off. I'm sorry, but you're simply a dumbass if you believe that Nazism was leftist or even left-leaning. Only those who succumb to ignorance would preach this. You can keep ignoring everything I comment and the links I give you, or you can get your head out of your self-righteous ass and try to listen to the other side: 1. The idea of Nazism being leftist simply because it has 'socialism' in its official name has about as much merit as saying that North Korea or the DRC are Democratic because they have 'democratic' in their name. 2. Though you probably don't care because, you're a left-hating cunt, Socialists/communist were killed in great numbers during the Holocaust; they were even among the first imprisoned persons. In 1933, the Dachau concentration camp held socialists and leftists exclusively. The Nazis arrested more than 11,000 Germans for "illegal socialist activity" in 1936. 3. Please take an actual read on Hitler's Mein Kampf. Cherry Picking Wikipedia articles won't give you the right idea. Here's a quote from the book: "Yes, how often did they not turn up in huge numbers, those supporters of the Red Flag, all previously instructed to smash up everything once and for all and put an end to these meetings. More often than not everything hung on a mere thread, and only the chairman’s ruthless determination and the rough handling by our ushers baffled our adversaries’ intentions. And indeed they had every reason for being irritated. The fact that we had chosen red as the colour for our posters sufficed to attract them to our meetings. The ordinary bourgeoisie were very shocked to see that, we had also chosen the symbolic red of Bolshevism and they regarded this as something ambiguously significant. The suspicion was whispered in German Nationalist circles that we also were merely another variety of Marxism, perhaps even Marxists suitably disguised, or better still, Socialists. The actual difference between Socialism and Marxism still remains a mystery to these people up to this day. The charge of Marxism was conclusively proved when it was discovered that at our meetings we deliberately substituted the words ‘Fellow-countrymen and Women’ for ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ and addressed each other as ‘Party Comrade’. We used to roar with laughter at these silly faint-hearted bourgeoisie and their efforts to puzzle out our origin, our intentions and our aims. We chose red for our posters after particular and careful deliberation, our intention being to irritate the Left, so as to arouse their attention and tempt them to come to our meetings - if only in order to break them up - so that in this way we got a chance of talking to the people." 4. Nazism was nothing but a mix of aristocracy and capitalism, like it or not. Now please, stop spreading this idiocy and take time to read an actual book, see the other side's argument and take an actual history class. If you cant see Trumps racism by now, you have a reason to turn a blind eye. Maybe you dont want to see him that way. Maybe its easier to think the media made him say this stuff, but he meant something else. Does this mean that you believe racism is wrong? If you could see his racism, would you withdraw your support? Its all stuff he said publicly. As you probably know, Trump notoriously said that a judge of Mexican descent should not be allowed to try a case because he's Mexican and would be biased sympathetic to Mexico and unfit to try a case. this is a textbook example of racism, making a judgement about peoples relative worth, skill, value, competence etc... based only on race. Naturally the judge is american in nationality, but ethnically Mexican. Trump assumed his ethnic ties disqualified him as a judge. See how its racism? Thats not the only one, but its an easy one. Also, you might be confused or misinformed about the meaning of fascism. cronyism is not fascism, its another separate and very serious problem. Wanting to ban guns is also not fascism. Even if you feel banning guns it is a precursor to fascism, you understand they are not the same thing. Also one does not necessarily lead to the other as many countries have varying levels of gun bans without being fascist. If I were you, I would double check those definitions to see if you have the right understanding.

Sadly, it is an inherent flaw of Democracy. If the people are blinded by fear, anger, and/or hate, they make irrational decisions based on revenge. Humanity, learn not to hate, but to forgive. Revenge after revenger, the blood shed will never end, unless if one side decides to forgive, or if one side was to die. But the surviving side will not be held as heros, but tyrants, and the world will turn against them. Thus adding more blood shed. Our humanity is cursed, because we love. Because we love, we hate. We divide amongst ourselves as enemies and allies. Them and us. Humans are powerful creatures, but fragile in heart. Ignorant in mind, but wise in spirit. A society that fights among themselves is destined to fall. Unless it learns to love and forgive itself.

This is what it takes for people to hold irrational beliefs that can potentially end up as totalitarian dictatorships (as shown by history) 1. Fear based on bigotry through biased POVs, with no scientific or objective facts, especially about a minority to be seen as a thread against a majority who blame everything on them as a way to find one only guilty for their complex social problems. 2. Beliefs in conspiracy theories with no real basis, such as people who believe there's an elite, or an agenda, splitting history of facts into sided opinions, to satify their information bias, unable to see things objectively due to their mental slant, ironically labeling every other's opinion as 'biased' for the same reason even if they offer them irrefutable facts. It's called the "backfired effect", and it's a cognitive bias. People won't accept they're wrong even if you show them proofs. 3. A lack of sense of control when a situation seems to be critical or there must be a big change. 4. Demagogy of a leader who tells people what they want to hear by promising everything will be better and saying that he/she will put THEM first instead of the "thread", offering people a sense of control and making them think that he/she really cares about them, even if their promises are unrealistic.

Shan Oakley Is it because I used the word "globalist"? Political ideologues who want to create a world with no borders, where people can and are encouraged to live wherever they want, who want to disavow the very existence of racial and ethnic groups and are ready to undermine the existing social and cultural cohesive structures that keep societies together and in harmony; these people are globalists. And their ideology is mad and dangerous. It goes counter to human nature. Their staunch refusal to accept the truth and stubborn insistence on their ideologies will only serve to plunge the world into chaos, and in the case of Europe also irreversibly destroy our very identity and people by importing foreign elements who share none of our values but want all the fruits of our civilisation. This is the political ideology that pervades, indeed poisons the political elite in the world today; it is the world view that Hillary and her kind support; it is the world view that thinks the only antidote to racism is to destroy all manifestation of different races of human beings by no more subtle tool than total miscegenation and the negation of over 2000 years of magnificent history.

@@lifeasaliquorstoreclerk7611 Okay and who used the burn of the Reichstag to get power? Now who uses the capitol-incident? Democratic party members demand to remove Trump from his seat because of this event. Utterly familiar. And the wage thing you mentioned is double-sided. Trump reached what a man can in business. After losing his life goal by achieving it, he ran for president in the world's most prosperous country (not nation, maximum if we see it as a political nation). He wants to max this out by running for a second term but he lost it. I'm not a supporter of either party, nor am I an American. I just want to show that people don't stop to choose from tools to grab power. Democrats use hatred towards republicans, republicans use hatred towards democrats. No matter the ideology, the method is successful. The people's choice is to choose the better ideology, or more like the least worse.

This is why modern democracy has separated the "military" from the "politics". In today's democratic world, the top military leaders aren't allowed to make public announcements or meet the press directly. Separating the military and the politics did the trick here. Else, it has been shown multiple times in the past, that a person who both has political power as well as military control will end up ruling the country. This is why democracy is slow. No single person will have enough power to pass on orders all by themselves. Thus, for any order to pass on, they must go through the bureaucratic process.

Also the conditions placed on Germany at the end of WW1 were far too harsh and divided Germany into new countries while creating massive hardship and resentment. It created a strong tension to reunite the German people and allowed a lot of the initial moves of the 3rd Reich to be tolerated by the western powers.
