Totally different styles, but I hear what your saying. DT has "mastered" the art of the Slide~ Style of playing the guitar. An art that he learned and developed into a unique style that nobody can even come close to touching. That INCLUDES Carlos Santana and Duane Allman ( Derek's idle & mentor)

@@kenmurphy6792 While Duane is no doubt Derek's idol, he died 8 years before Derek was born so I'm not sure how much of a mentor he was. That said, DT rips on the slide guitar like no one alive! Cheers!

The thing that always gets me about Derek's playing is his pocket. He knows right where he should be in the song as a whole, he can dominate with his leads but then back down and play some of the best rhythm work. True legend.

This is what music is supposed to be. These guys are comparable to the old greats, especially Allmans!! Double drummer, horns, super reverbs, Susan’s lovely voice, Dereks killer slide playing and the keyboard player (Rip) who played a killer organ and flute. Susan was certainly cut from the same cloth as Bonnie Bramlet, Bonnie Raight, and Ms. Janis, very soulful and very melodic ; Derek is in a world of his own, I was fortunate enough to have seen the Allman Brothers Band and saw the great Duane Allman lead the Brothers to the edge of nirvana, heaven, and the halls of Montezuma, Derek is the same way, his playing with his guitar is just as important as the work Duane did, he whips that group of people, might I say extraordinary group of musicians who have shown time and time again, they know, gold rings on ya band !😎!

Back in the day when I lied We'd always fight Now here you are foolin' 'round Out every night I don't have to take it anymore And I'm tired of always keeping score All I say is: Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Smacked in the face Such a disgrace You were wrong I try it again, stay 'til the end, but how long? We've been here so many times And I know you've fed me so many lies All I say is: Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Ohh, worried to you Ohh, 'cause I ain't worried Fool me once or twice You know the saying: Shame on you But now that I'm done with the math Here's what I'll do I'll find my way, keep an open door 'Cause it's not the same as it was before All I say is: Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Ohh, worried Ohh, 'cause I ain't worried Lord, 'cause I ain't worried You better, you better be worried Ohh, I'm worried, worried, worried, worried Yeah I ain't gonna take it anymore Ohhh
