Tedeschi Trucks Band Misunderstood Live Reaction

The guy on the SG is Derik Trucks her husband and ex member of the Allman Bros and nephew of one of there drummers, and has been making his own music since he was a teenager.

2 drummers? There are many possible explanations, such as the Allman Brothers Band had 2 drummers, and Derek's uncle was one of them, so they used that model for their band. But the simple fact is that Susan and Derek each had their own bands before they joined and they kept all of the band members for the new band.

I've been going to concerts since the 70s...seen a lot of incredible music but live Tedeschi Trucks is as good as anything I've ever seen

If I may, check out “Keep on Growing” live at the Fox theater. It’s a cover of a Clapton song and it’s out of this world ☺️ The didnt just do Layla. They did it live 😉

Two Drummers, you usually have a rock drummer and you have a jazz drummer, and they do their own fills .They never play the same thing prime example is the Allman Brothers Band which the slide guitar player Derek trucks was in the Allman Brothers band from 19 years old up until the band retired. he was wit them approximately 14 years and mainly played slide considered the best slide player out there today. Duane Allman was his idol.

More TTB. Their signature song is Midnight in Harlem. But any will do. In the last 10 years I've seen Van Morrison twice and TTB 8 times. I have no interest in anyone else. tuh-DESK-ee, btw.

The 2 drummer thing is not uncommon. Phil Collins and Chester Thompson used to play together and became more of a necessity as Phil became the frontman and lead singer for Genesis, but still wanted to be behind his drum kit. For more TTB, check out Midnight in Harlem. One of their older hits but Derek has a beautiful solo in it.
