After I got back from Vietnam, I landed a job playing security at concert venues. We’d escort acts from the plane to the stage etc etc. I met a lot of groups. Ted was the only one that treated us like his equal, very cool. He talked to us. Invited us to his trailer pre show. Food. No drinking as he never drank. What a great guy. Took pics with us, autographs. Can’t say enough good things about him. 99% of the other acts I covered were complete assholes. One guy we were told don’t look at him or talk to him or he’ll get upset. People can say what they want about Nugent, but he was a very nice genuine guy

Thank you for serving (volunteer or not) back when so many were against people that wore the uniforms. My sweetie is retired USAF (Vietnam era) and also a big Ted Nugent fan. I love to hear that guys like Nugent can still remember how to be a real person, not just a 'rock star'.

My daddy scolded me, when I was a little girl, for buying this record, digging this song, the most, because it had it all! I was barely in junior high school. My daddy didn’t think Ted was a good example, like Pink Floyd. Ted brought live rock-n-roll back to Wichita, KS., after the Herman Hill Riot broke out at a rock show. Cops/bikers/rock fans, all rioting. Live rock - banned. Ted said he’d put on a show and no one would fight. I think that was at The Kansas Coliseum, it could have been at Henry Levitt Arena. However, the city kept their promise to Ted Nugent, that if no fights broke out at Ted’s show, the ban would be lifted. The ban was lifted. I always tell this story, because I never hear it told. Thanks Ted! Oh, my daddy, a rough and tough old soldier said later, “It’s kind of good.” At least it’s got some 🏀 🏀s - not like that (Amboy Duke’s Journey to The Center of Your Mind) %$&@!!!!” He was old. A Chuck Berry fan himself.❤️

Alter, absolut genial. Gott segne dich Ted. 👍🤣 0:01

I remember one time when I was driving into Pittsburgh from the south hills and this song came on 102.5 WDVE. Right when I came out of the Fort Pitt Tunnel with the iconic view of the Pittsburgh skyline was where the guitar solo peaked. It was probably the best road moment I have ever had in my life, as both the view and the song married perfectly. I literally thought I was going to have to pull over somewhere out of sheer delirium and excitement. A good song will do that to you in in the right moment and surroundings.

Only Ted could hit that zone and be on....and...on.....and...on....and on again!! Time after time, like as easy as breathing!!!! Me ....I get an amazing shot, and like the fog of a dream lifting..... it's gone!!! Thank you Ted, first for being just a kick ass guitarist,...and then second for being a conservative leaning, highly intelligent, well read, studied, and aware citizen, who is absolutely dead on point on all the B. S. floating around out there!!! So refreshing!!! I have nothing but love and respect for you Brother!!!
