Vijay Govindarajan delivers a thought provoking talk on 'Reverse Innovation,' a term he co-defined referring to innovation emerging from developing nations.
Vijay Govindarajan is the Earl C. Daum 1924 Professor of International Business and the Founding Director of Tuck's Center for Global Leadership. Cited by BusinessWeek, The Economist, Forbes, and The London Times as the top thought leader in strategy, Vijay is well known for espousing Reverse Innovation -- innovation likely to be adopted first in the developing world before spreading to industrialized nations.

Respected sir, This was an eyeopener , I would definately agree to your point that medical facilities vs Cost say for example an eye LASIK surgery cost around 6 -7000 dollars vs 60,000 rs back in India. Th point of emphasis is nessecity is the mother of all innovation.. hopefully reverse inovation gets as much support in all other countries like Africa where the medical needs are atmost.

Here, here and Thank you Sir/Madamez and All non conformists. The art of innovation stems from the art of learning. A broadening of others mind sets from perspective angle narratives consolidating to more satisying visual positions. At root cause for any scenario is that of the unknown given probable risk, we must be challenged by what we know to overcome ulimate pitfalls. Creation can only rule free once one understands a true a concept of surrender. Motto is there is no fable to one who lives in a stable at the bombay bike shed. Life at the bottom is natural order the way it is was meant to be, raw carnagé.

Lol really he doesnt even knows about India.. he said 90% of the india is rural and only 10% of the hospitals can afford that 50,000$ machine well just to let u guys know there are around 35,416 government + 15,317 private hospitals and he says only 10% can afford it. The estimates say that households spent Rs. 64,628 crore on private hospitals compared to just Rs. 8,193 crore on government hospitals.
