When he was in high school, Tep Livina was just another gangster who did not care much about learning but playing around aimlessly. Yet, when he entered the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) in 2006 as a college student, he gradually changed his life and become one of the best students IFL has ever produced. In 2009, he honorably graduated as a valedictorian and was chosen to deliver the graduation speech to over 1000 graduates and distinguished guests present during the graduation ceremony. Nowadays, a master candidate in TESOL, he is running an educational company called EdNICHE offering many services including helping the students to learn English language more effectively and become outstanding students in their school.
TEDxPhnomPenh was held at Pannasastra University on June 9, 2012.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDxevents are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

This is so true! I used to ask myself the same question every goddamn time I walked into school entrance like why am doing what am doing, and I never came across the answer until this past summer when I visited my family in Phnom Penh. I suddenly realized that if I were to become a college professor, I would have influenced more people like myself to do something good for the country. I don't know how to describe my feelings but you sir just hit it right on the spot! Love it! Being one of the speakers on TedxPhnomPenh is my dream. Hope that I'll make it one day. I really want to inspire more Cambodian youths by sharing my study abroad experience.

His speech is absolutely passionate and inspiring. I totally agree the part that 'Educators should inspire first and then students will inspire back".

I was wrong that I’ve never cared about doing anything relate to the routine beside doing my work because I believe in my hard work will pay everything and those kinda trivial stuffs are not for me and there’re people will can do it and not me, I don’t have to give it a damn. I think I need to learn everything and enjoy the life as it still be survival.

Has ha. That's funny. In the speech, I did not talk much about IFL. Anyway, I am not proud of IFL. I'm just proud of where I came from.

I really admire his presentation but one thing that makes me think that he's too proud. It's that he talked and mentioned IFL many times, he looked too proud of IFL. Not only him, but also many students at IFL !
