There are also microaggressions related to religion, region you grew up in, and nationality, not just racial. It's always good to be mindful of what our assumptions are about people who look, sound, or believe things differently than we do. Yes, I am aware that sounds "woke," but then that's an assumption you are making about me. If we all simply treated each other using the Golden Rule, the world would be a much better place.

I am a native English speaker. If a native French speaker told me my French was really good and they didn’t hear an American accent, I would be very pleased. But then I’m not a whiny crybaby looking for things to be offended by.
