An artiste in her quest for perfection Shubhada Varadkar, a Performer, a Choreographer, a Writer, a Guru, and a Guide has taken the divine dance form of Odissi to transcendental heights with her flawless performance and mentoring of aspiring artistes.
Shubhada Varadkar is personified as a woman who does not surrender to existential faith but symbolizes triumph of an artiste over life threatening adversities and indomitable spirit as she wins her battle with cancer and overcomes hardships of life. She has dedicated her life to her art and social cause of cancer support. Films Division of India and PSBT has made a documentary on her inspiring life story “Peacock Plume”. This documentary film is appreciated by one and all for its inspirational impact and is selected for screening at major international documentary films festivals. Ragasswaa, UK had released the DVD of Shubhada’s dance. She is also a prolific writer. Here-book ‘The Glimpses of Indian Classical Dance’ is available on Amazon Kindle and Google Play for a worldwide audience. She has also penned her autobiographical account in a Marathi book titled ‘Mayurpankh’. Both these books are published by Krimiga Books.
