In this fascinating talk, Father Guidalberto Bormolini explores the relationship between time, limits, and human aspiration. He emphasizes how the desire for unlimited time can diminish the value of finite experiences. Through myths and symbolism, he invites reflection on the human condition, where time becomes a driving force for growth and movement. Padre Guidalberto’s story begins in his youth, when he became acquainted with meditation and entered a Christian community, in order to live the monastic ideals and become a priest.
After graduating in Theology and specialising in Theological Anthropology, he now also works as a spiritual assistant outside the Church, for those “who have long lost their way, for those who cannot bear the pains of existence” as Franco Battiato sings.
In addition to teaching several master’s courses, collaborating on numerous projects and writing, Padre Guidalberto is currently working on the reconstruction of the village “Tutto è vita”, an abandoned village that he wants to transform into a place of integral healing (body, psyche and spirit) through meditation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
