Punita Arora is the first woman in India to don the second highest rank i.e. Lieutenant General of Indian Armed Forces and the first female Vice admiral of Indian Navy.
Dr. Arora talks about how she broke boundaries by joining Indian Armed forces and set an example then onwards. Dr. Punita Arora is the first woman Lieutenant General which is the second highest rank of Indian Armed Forces.

Great salute to her Meritorious service in the field of military medicine. She was the first three star officer in the Army. She served as Lieutenant General in Army and also served as Surgeon Vice Admiral in Indian Navy. Highly qualified gynaecologist and achieving Expertise in Stomach related issues, labour deliveries and Abdominal organ specialists. Many of the citizens are not aware Armed Forces Medical College which trains and prepares Doctors for the Army, Air force and Navy. 100 seats are allotted for AFMC medical admission.
