You know, it is truly difficult for visionaries to concentrate on some things when they have a lot going on. One of these is love, it's not because they don't feel love, but rather, they are so heavily invested in their passion. It is hard to express emotion and give time to a relationship or family when you are chasing your dreams. I love what she said towards the end about how they may make lousy husband or wives, forget about an important date or meeting, but they pave the way for our world and truly make a difference in it.

Having been severely picked on as a child, I know what it feels like to be an outsider who does not quite trust the world or the people in it... I think that a Visionary is someone who has survived and grown from the darkness enough to see a forthcoming sunrise that we are yet to see, and they bring that new horizon, connect us with it. These are the light bringers, the way farers, the showers of the way. I often look at Elon and see a sadness or a dull stillness in his eyes at times. I imagine his mind continuously racing and feel that he has taken himself out of the equation, and the changes that he brings are for the betterment of mankind and the world we live in. It can't be easy being set-up but the rewards when yielding make the darkness worth living. Keep walking, fellow troupes. Justin Musk gave a great talk there; really liked it.

I think what Justine did in this Ted episode, was to prove to herself, that she is strong enough and smart enough to carry the name Musk in today's reality. A world where success is measured in wealth. I suspect her two handed approach to water bottles is simply that she recognized the strain she was feeling and correctly decided to use both hands. I also feel that the reason she is divorced from Elon, is she struggled over a long period of time to grasp the reality that an intelligent and beautiful woman would forever be Elon's second wife. He is an engineer physicist rocket scientist inventor first, followed by a husband and Father. Our world has many husbands and fathers and only one Elon Musk. I applaud Justine and greatly admire her strength and the message she just gave us.

She's intellectual and a very understanding person and beautiful as well. Yes I think she still has a thing for Elon but she keeps it contained I think because she knows it wasn't meant to be. She understands him and understands he has to go Full Throttle and 100% for his visions. I'm sure the biggest problem would have been his time at work whether at home or at work and unlike some husbands he was working. You cannot stop a visionary. I think she knew that and she understood he would be miserable if she did. I think she also knew that he would not be Elon if he were harnessed. I also think Elon understood that about himself. And he probably knew he could not be the husband that she wanted. I imagine their divorce was probably was based on Mutual agreeance. Without knowing anything about their children except what I heard in this lecture obviously I would say their children are blessed with intelligence and understanding. If had any drama in their past kudos for both of them for keeping it out of the Press.

I think one thing learnt from this.. There are people that are meant for each other, then there are mistakes.. just don't rush into relationships.. that goes for the both of them.. because I don't believe all visionaries out there have unhappy spouses or relationships..

You know what, I get it, the hate comes from a reasonable place. But in the end, she gave a good talk about her experiences. Let her live. She dd good(well).

Wow, I have chills from her talk. This woman is brilliantly beautiful and beautifully brilliant. I feel she's a person of my tribe, and I'm so glad to have heard this today and look forward to more talks and or more words of hers. Also.....I absolutely love that she gets Courtney Love as did Kurt Cobain, and as did Elon to her.

He will one day regret the day he “fired” her. She has every right to be “salty” and yet refrains, No hair transplant or shiny object can take the place of a wise, compassionate beautiful partner. He brings great scientific accomplishments- but that is nothing without humble compassion. You go girl! You are an inspiration to woman everywhere

Greatness, dark or luminescent, radiates and transforms many lives. Most visionaries had troubled life whether Einstein, Curie, Jobs or Gates. But that is infinitesimal compared to the world transforming changes these entities delivered. Life, marriage, social relevance should not be weighed against their genius. Their popularity touches everyone’s life and generally enhances humanity.

I read all the comments, and I just want to say that no one will understand the meaning of the whole talk unless you already live it because you are the kind of people she describe. All the others, will say a talk without meaningful ending point.

I can relate to Musk being teased. I was teased in elementary school because I had crossed eyes. I’ve had corrective surgery so it isn’t so obvious now, but as a child, it was hard. Now, I realize that only being able to use one eye made me see the world in a different way than the normal, 3 dimensional way most people see the world. I see details many people can’t see. I consider myself blessed.

Justine has a real awareness of the world and it makes her a good storyteller. I believe her marriage failed because they were both young and trying to do somethings that few people had done so it was challenging for both of them. Breaking up is very hard so while she may have written a bitter article about him it was still her truth and her right to speak it. I judged her negatively for it because she had the world in her hands and hated it but i am not in her shoes. Im sorry justine for judging you. This was a great talk. I get your point. My boss is a visionary. I want to quit all the time lol. He probably doesnt like me most days. Ill take it one day at a time. Maybe i could be like him or at least try and improve.

people like her and Elon are people I truly admire.I dont know how stuff is between them. But from how they express themselves they seem genuine.Yes they probably werent an amazing couple, yes Elon probably hurt her and Justine probably hurt Elon.People need to remember that just because you got a divorce doesnt mean you hate eachother. They are caring people that do what they can to help. They stutter and seem nervous because thats what they feel. They arent gods that speak of the brightest future. They are humans with the simplest of fears but they do their best.Something we can learn from her and the critique she's getting is that people are people, you dont know their heart,Their entire personality could be an act but what truly matters is to love anyways,to be geniune with yourself and the world and maybe just maybe the world will stop being so dark as we hide the best of ourselves and show the cynic the world wants us to show.
