Tim will share's the story of how the Table Club was formed and then gone on to become one of the most important community outreach projects in Brighton and beyond.
Tim Holtam co-founded the Brighton Table Tennis Club (BTTC) in 2007, it has grown since then into a community of over 1000 players a week, including a Downs Syndrome Champion, a world over 80 competitor, boys from Afghanistan’s Helmand Province, a former UK Chinese Champion, top junior players from all over Brighton and local club players. @@SamHiggan you don't need a good table. Whatever way you can keep the table up at standard height, the table itself only costs $80. you don't need expensive paddles to get started. Good paddles could be as cheap as $40. That's definitely cheap for a sport with equipment

@@tackywacky99 table and rubber needs to be ittf approved. Cheapest rubber is $10 a side and cheapest blade on paddle palace is $19. A generic H3 rubber is $25 a side. $40 sounds unrealistic for a blade. And who even buys a table. You just go to a club.
