Great to see someone that is part of the criminal justice system actually trying to be a solution to the drug addiction problem.

This program treats individuals with integrity and promotes lasting change. Drug court is well documented and your message comes through with compassion and the numbers to prove it. Thanks for an inspiring talk, Tina !

this was a great talk. i'm citing this work in my Master's argumentative paper in favor of drug courts as a responsible, concerned, informed, and evidence-based method of tackling crime, mass incarceration, and treating those who are addicted. :)

Judge Nadeau is very passionate about the drug court program. We are very lucky to have her any many fine judges overseeing this very important part of the criminal justice system in NH and other states.

It’s successful because they are ready to end their addiction, unlike the ones that won’t even entertain the idea of Drug Court!

Great presentation. Well done. This video effectively explains how and why Drug Treatment Courts work.

Drug Addicts are punished for being who they are? Something is very wrong here, very wrong... I won't ever be able to wrap my head around that one.. It's all about the money...So sad..😢😢

Those statistics are wrong! Which is why none of it works. The truth of the matter is, is that 22 out of 100 to go through drug court get caught reoffending the vast majority of those should go to the program go right back to drugs either then or later, they just don’t get caught. The problem is not the treatment. The problem is the law that makes it illegal to begin with.

The problem is that they are letting violent people attend drug court instead of prison time. Doing this harms the people that have to deal with that person. If its just possession thats one thing but they are letting all types of criminals in if they were intoxicated during a crime/ multiple crimes. And on the oh but mental health side of things, What criminal doesnt have mental health problems. And no one is checking if these people gave the actual alcoholism disease.

There is a biais created depending on the crime then. Many users start selling their drug of choice to afford to use.

Just wait until you are the victim of multiple crimes perpetrated by a lifelong drug user, who has already been through rehab a few times. I'm sure the 3 minutes the judge spends listening and clapping for the addict will seem like justice being served. I'm sure you will be happy the addict gets a gas gift card for good behavior while you are out the $30,000 they stole from you, never to be repaid. Just wait until you are the victim.....

Why do folks feel they need to comment about something they are oblivious to? Maybe y'all need to sit down and shut up...then y'all might learn something... I'm an honest woman, kinda blunt at times... You & your buddies, really kinda make me sick. Y'all need to read a book or something... Anything, just stop talking and commenting, can you do that maybe...Please??

We know for fact it is not going to stop the addiction. I would call a slow death. Education while they are young is the best . I think it is another way you want to charge us tax payers.
