I saw her in our local Indian Casino. She opened for JoKoy and really enjoyed her. Too bad that JoKoy decided to double down on cussing. That turned me off that the next time he came to town, we decided not to go as the jokes were rerun of what he already said ( like the Netflix show) and also the cussing. Not again.

I’ve used comedy to navigate and overcome my own trauma and I absolutely 100% agree laughter is the best medicine, especially when shared with others. She's actually saying real Vietnamese words. I lived in Vietnam for 6 years. The first thing she said is "Happy New year" either with the last word mis-pronounced or possibly with a southern accent (I lived in the North, but most Vietnamese in the US are from the south, and accents vary A LOT in Vietnam). It’s so refreshing to see a comedian who doesn’t rely on profanity to make us laugh. Keeping it light and clean really shows how humor doesn’t need to be edgy to be hilarious! I joined the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x, which helped me see humor as more about connecting than getting a laugh every time. It’s given me confidence to share moments without the pressure. Keep going-humor really does bring people together, and a little practice goes a long way!

I'm late to the party when it comes to Anjelah. I just stumbled across her on KZbin last week. I then watched every suggested AJ video KZbin put up. I thought, "Damn, she's really funny! A great performer!" Then I saw that she's going to be in my area in 3 months so I thought, "Hey, my wife would love to go see her. That would be perfect!" Click on the link, see $390 tickets. What??? That can't be right. So I went to the comedy club's website and it all became crystal (gel) clear. The shows are sold out. Original price $40. She's so popular that resellers are making a small fortune off her!

Love that one. Her delivery is so low key. I think that may be why people are not so loud in their response. Just quietly chuckling matches her delivery style. Doesn't mean we don't appreciate her.

You do such a great job imitating the nail salon jive! I have had to hold my laughter a few times in confusion trying to decipher that type of learned English. God bless them, they work hard, learn the language and do a nice job! Can you imagine trying to adapt to their native languages (there are SO MANY dialects)? Such a difficult communication barrier to hurdle.
