My mother told me that I came into the world laughing. I always try to look at the funny side of things and am STILL told to "grow up" or to "be a man". The (mischievous) "little boy" in me has never left and might be what keeps me from looking my 60+ years. Having no children probably helps too. 😆 My wish is to exit the world laughing, or with a smile on my face. It's been a GREAT life and I owe it ALL to my parents. ❤ Thank you. 🙏

A co-worker went to our boss maybe 12 years ago and told him she was concerned about me. She thought I was depressed and needed help. My boss called me in his office and gave me a phone number to our company's life line. They sent me a booklet and a stress relief CD by her. I had it in my car for at least 8 years. My granddaughters had it memorized and would ask me to play it often.

I was in such a deep depression that the first time I laughed, I gave myself a serious headache. I mean a painfully throbbing, aching headache. It felt unnatural to laugh & thank God for Advil & cold compress that gave me relief. Happy to report that more I laughed the less & less of a headache I got until it finally went away. I have been headache-free for over a year now unless you count family. 😃😃

She’s not helping calm the ever arrogant New Yorker who lives inside me!! 🤣😂🤣 We do tell great stories and absolutely own a particular kind of suffering only close decedents of immigrants can know! Many of our stories thread through most of our ethnic families - guilt, suffering, anxiety, for many scarcity, (no matter how wealthy) and the ability to laugh our asses off at it all frequently! Miss my old neighborhood in the Bronx which was well blended so I could connect so easily with others from all places all my life. I really got “tranquillo“ when I found this sympathetic, truthful and authentic description of a live, that is lived and handles today’s problems and every day life with healthy consciousness. It’s more than storytelling. It’s not elaborated code, it’s just what people should consume 100 times, to keep standing, to feel better and to be the person they are. That’s the only thing to stay healthy, to Keep standing real life. It’s more than medicine, it’s holistic. It’s from 2016, but it’s for eternity!
