There are a lot of toxins in vegetables. Just because they can't run away, it doesn't mean they can't hurt you. I like what this Dr says. I have been doing keto with decent results, but I need to try the carnivore diet too and see what happens. My daughter has auto-immune issues for which I blame my way of eating while pregnant with her which led to me having gestational or pre-diabetes. She was literally swimming in sugar and I ballooned up by 55 lbs and ended up with a c-section.! I could have killed her in my womb due to the lack of nutritional knowledge in the 1980’s

i think the point he was making is that we sometimes drink too much water..this dilutes the contents of our blood at some point..another doc says this is why college or high school football players die in the summer...they drink a ton of water that dilutes their blood and also sweat out their minerals and other necessary elements and literally fall over... our body can make some water and we can last 3-5 days if we had to, so he was saying dont worry that you arent drinking enough water...if you are thirsty drink...with his diet you wont be dehydrated so you may find your water requirements change...the only thing our large intestines do is regulate salt and water balance

Where on earth are you getting those conclusions or data from? Or are you referring to the massively flawed European study which draws incredibly weak, at best, associative conclusions from a food questionnaire study, literally the only piece of tangible study on the connection of "meat" to cancer? This is, BTW, the same study that classifies a pizza with salami on it as "meat", or a fastfood burger with the fries and a sugary soda as "meat". It's one of these most embarrassingly disingenuous flawed pieces of research "swill" out there that is still regularly tapped by the mainstream media as the only study that provides evidence against "meat".
@Dirk_van_Tonder
@Dirk_van_Tonder 7 ай бұрын
I would like to see your data that supports such a suggestion. There have literally been zero studies on people who eat only meat; those junk epidemiology studies that say "there is an association between red meat and cancer" are people who are eating their meat with sugary burger buns, sugary tomato sauce, mayonnaise made with toxic seed oils, fries, etc and are based on dietary questionnaires which are dubiously inaccurate and vague. Carnivore purist studies have simply not been undertaken to date and "association" does not mean causation.

There are no essential carbohydrates necessary for the human body. None. Just by eating too much fruit you can give yourself non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It acidifies your mouth and damages your teeth. Does that sound healthy? And how many fruits grow naturally (not cultivated by humans) in your part of the world? We have a gall bladder to digest fats directly. We do not have a multi chambered stomach or enlarged cecum to generate fats from cellulose. We cannot digest cellulose at all. Even apes can ferment plant material and utilise cellulose for nutrition. Humans can't.

This is a poor analogy. Cars last much longer than humans and the less you use them the longer they last, unlike humans. This whole carb thing thats going on i tend to lean towards its just B.S. We are gonna die whether we eat them or not. You may or may not get a few extra years of drooling or crapping your pants at 85 years old but really who wants to live that long in this miserable world anyway? Pizza and cake and booze make me happy, sorry, jusst how i feel.

Humans can last to 120 years. Cars not so much. Depending on the battery, they'll last longer (aka start up) if you use them more. We feed carbs in the form of plants to fatten up pigs, chickens, turkeys, sheep, and cows to slaughter. Then, we eat the animals. We don't need carbs if we're on the carnivore diet. Why get a few extra years? I don't know...to spend more time with your grandchildren? To fly to the moon? Will diabetes make you happy? What about cancer? What about heart disease? Sorry, jusst how I feel.

no views bc this guy says something wrong every other sentence. we are not lions we are omnivores. the body requires protein as well as essential fatty acids. Paleo was not the diet of cavemen, they were predominantly gatherers who ate fruit, nuts, seeds and root vegetables. the brain does not require carbohydrates, but it is the preferred energy source and why we evolved larger brains than lions and primates that never learned to cook starch into easily digestible energy. and thats only the first 6 min of the video. avoid this quack and watch videos from real nutrition experts like Dr Neal Barnard, Dr Caldwell Esselstyn and Dr Michael Greger

Lol. Gathering up what? When the hunt failed they ate tubers that were just pure fiber that converted into SCFA. Berries were in some climates but ask the Inuit about all them berries and nuts! I don't think we as a species made it on csrbs until our enslavement to domesticated grains just 8000 or so years ago.

His delivery is not great here but the info is spot on. Like him I did not believe this could be true when it was first presented to me but as I did my own research I could see the possibility it was so in spite of years of vegetarian brainwashing I tried a zero carb diet and in am amazingly short time my mood and health got much better as I easily lost weight.

A little one sided and much more complicated. Certainly Keto and Paleo work for those who are prone to pre diabetes and diabetes, but the verdict is still out--may be dangerous for some people's cardiovascular status, especially women. It would make sense that women who are having trouble with fertility, likely commonly have metabolic problems, such as pre diabetes. I agree with fasting--we need to do more of it. Meat & dairy are responsible for a large percentage, (at least 15%) of carbon emissions & global warming, and today's animal husbandry practices are leading to disease like COVID. So, doc-if you want to save the planet & human life for generations & generations, eat less meat--fast more.

Shame on you. Microbes in the soil emit 40% of carbon. Green trees and plants capture more than half of all co2. Even if we took every fuel powered vehicle off the road and made everything electric, we would barely put a dent in what you think is a problem. Cow birps are not the problem the activists say it is. Lying propaganda. I was a vegan activist and teacher/pusher of lies for 18 years. I deeply regret and apologize for my ignorance and problems I caused. I became weak, got a hernia, lost teeth, rashes all over my skin, vision worsened and much more. Shame on me for believing in Natural Hygeine, Starchivore Eating, Raw Veganism, Fruitarianism and more lies. The lessons I had to learn were a matter of life and death. I lost somewhere near 20 friends and acquaintances in the last 2 years. Every one of them cared less about what went in to their mouths. In Budapest, Hungary, they were helping people with Cancer through the Ketogenic and Carnivore approach. Please dig in with a heart of sincerity and live well.

No human ate any carbs except a few weeks for those in a temperate climate got wild berries until 8000 years ago with our domestication by grains.

How is the meat and dairy industry responsible for those amounts of carbon emissions that you claim? Or better yet, how is mono crop agriculture not responsible for much, much more? Millions of acres of land plowed flat and sprayed with insecticides then planted and harvested with large combines only to be shipped all around the world before it goes bad? If you think your helping the environment then don’t look into how much water almonds take. Wowsa.
