“E go better” is a phrase that reveals the depth of our helplessness in Nigeria. Learned helplessness has become our reality, we have relinquished control over outcomes and have retired ourselves to “fate” even when there is hope for a solution. The terror of what our past has done to us (frustrated expectations and sociological disorder), has so distorted our view of the future that anytime we find anything remotely normal, we become paranoid and apprehensive. Hope has become dangerous to our existence because we no longer make efforts to define the future we aspire towards.

A well thought out solution to a deep pernicious Nigerian problem which incidentally is in keeping with Plato's quote on the conquest of oneself.

Excellent discuss. Very well articulated. Perhaps, more talks such as this would gradually begin to get us to think more of our abilities, help us to realise that our inabilities are mere illusions: we can be so much more!
