The 1994 genocide in Rwanda was a human drama. At the same time, it proved the starting point of the much less known yet fascinating transformation of the country. As a project manager for SHER, an engineering consulting company involved in hydropower and water infrastructure projects, Robin was directly involved in the development of Rwanda for almost 3 years and has first-hand witnessed and lived part of this story.
Robin is an INSEAD MBA Graduate. After having worked for several years in Rwanda, Robin now wants to offer some insights into this country’s fascinating economic and social transformation.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Rwanda's economic prosperity is remarkable, but what about the costs? Freedom of speech is non-existant, critique at the RPF-regime is silenced by bullets....
