Think about it: The death penalty is essentially punishing someone for committing murder *by committing murder.* That shouldn’t be set as a good example for people about how to handle situations properly or to convince them that committing such an act is bad in any way.

Think about this: the death penalty basically means that a person is punished for committing murder by *being murdered.* That sets no good example for anyone.

the moment you decided to take an innocent’s life is the very moment you forfeited yours. there can be no forgiveness or redemption. a life for a life. you want to live just as much as they wanted to.

What does that do. Who does that help? Nobody. It helps nobody. You do not bring back the victims, the people who have suffered from the losses are not relieved of their trauma. An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind, it is a cycle; hate is.

@@Warblertownsend Terrifying right? It consumes you, people that search for revenge never escaped from their hate, their darkness. Surely people have different morals, i understand that, but we change, this is what we did, we always did. Once there was slavery Once there was discrimination Even if we could never delete these things from the world, we were able to decrease these things. People sometimes may be scared of change, we shouldn’t force them, but show them. Life is not perfect, but we can make it better. There’s two morals Revenge the victim, so they could finally rest in peace, bring the justice Spare the murder, give them a chance, maybe they would do more good, or more bad who knows For me, both sounds fair enough, i don’t really know what’s right, I guess that it depends on the circumstances. Surely neither justice is perfect.

this boy is too young and barely understand life. just because the death penalty has been abused by gov, doesn't mean it's not an effective justice tool. if the gov can't kill them, they can still lock them up for life or do other things to them. don't pose the abolishment of the death penalty as a mean to solve gov corruption. those are two separate problems

@@Iac8 no bro you don't understand my point. There are many people who don't do crime because they know can get death penalty. Death penalty henious crime should be given. @@mayankमोनंटि yes it's a 🤪 position. Countless studies and DNA forensics show the government has executed people who were innocent 🤔 .. because it is not a perfect system, it cannot have the power of death over citizens. Better that 10 go free then 1 innocent person suffer.🤔 This is the law 🤷, the same logic should apply with the most powerful act the state can take if the outcome is the loss of life. ✌️

@@mayankमोनंटि The Majority of Europe abolished the death penalty and you know what? We have an actual decrease in violent crimes. Why? Because of high living standards, security, and fulfillment of all basic needs. It is not a matter of imposition of capital punishment but increasing development level.
