Eman, thank you for sharing such a powerful talk with such bravery. I know your words will inspire many others the same way they've inspired me.

We're so proud to have had Eman on our stage. Her life's work has been dedicated to serving others all over the world. When we hear negativity, we only redouble our efforts to share ideas like this and recall the neighborhood spirit fostered in Pittsburgh from Mr. Rogers to Eman Eltigani to bring together those with roots old and new in our community and those like it.

That's great that she has been helping others, good for her. Have you stopped to ask why some people might be against what she is saying? If believing something other than her self is negative, why do you think that? She talks about diversity and its positive aspects, yet numbers out there say the opposite. Have you been following what has been happening in Europe, or even whats starting to happen in Canada, with the refugees? This video seems to just be a pro-islam video, have you sat down and studied the koran and any of their other holy books? Are you going to do a video that's pro-Christian immigrant/refugees? You know, one of the most persecuted groups in the world? Persecuted largely by muslims, in case you didn't know. I encourage you to do a bit of research on this, you'll be a bit surprised. I was once I started researching it.

No research is needed for me to believe that we should be welcoming and open minded ,and that when people come to our communities in need of help, we should help them. Most of these 'against' comments don't seem to have any critique, other than pure anger, by the way. I'm glad you've been researching - did you happen to listen to her talk as part of your efforts to understand more about these topics?

Of course I listened, I wouldnt be posting in/on a video with out watch all the way through, no matter how much I disagree. I did also comment about what I saw in the video, so...there is that. You should look into whats happening over in the EU and Canada. You can not, with a sane mind, have open arms to every human out there. That shows a lack of intelligence, and real world experience(s) in dealing with other humans. Just because you maybe nice and kind and want to help others, does not equate to others being or thinking the same as you. Especially when the refugees are muslim, read the koran and you'll understand why. How come her video doesnt talk about actually persecuted groups? Christians? Gays? Its only about muslims. You want to talk about helping refugees, but wouldnt lift a finger to help a Christian.

People of any background can become refugees or need acceptance in communities far from home. This point is religion-agnostic. Her experience can be a lesson for many. Your comment seems to indicate that "numbers" point to negative outcomes of diversity. Might that be an over-generalization? What numbers exactly? Also, whether you like it or not - we are all increasingly interconnected, and I'm no expert on Christianity (or any religion), but I thought there was something the good book about loving our neighbors.

I come from the city of Tangier, it's an arabic city situated in Morocco (a muslim country). and Many of our neighbours are SPANISH and "christian" refugees who were born in Tangier. Their parents and grand parents came to the city at the spanish civil war and Franco dictatorship era. and they decided to stay in the city after the war finished. Refugees whether muslims or christians, would similarly be an overall benefit to the host country.
