Lee uses a palate of vivid colours in her distinctive style which has earned her international acclaim. Her canvases show the way forward for contemporary Indigenous artists.
Lee narrates the Mohawk Story of Creation while a montage of her art work intertwines.
Lee Claremont is Mohawk and Irish and was born in Woodstock, Ontario on the territory of the Grand River Six Nations Ontario. Lee received her BFA (Honors) from the University of British Columbia and now resides in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in BC. She is well known for her incredible use of colour and her very distinct and recognizable palette is a rainbow that showers us with a positive sense of emotional energy and healing.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Nice pictures but I can not hear anything. I was really hoping to learn more about my heritage. Can you please upload a new version with working audio. I know so little about my heritage it would be nice to learn more.

Maybe if you opened your hearts you'd learn that the Mohawks had no language that any one could understand.

Nice story, terrible quality. If you are a teacher, never give this for your students. IT IS UNBEARABLE to study from this video.
