My grandmother, a native Aymara, spits at the term Hispanic. She has never spoken Spanish, nor would she ever dream of doing so because of the treatment of her people by the Spanish over the centuries. The term Hispanic, to many indigenous people who immigrate to America, is an insult.

Estoy leyendo un libro de la escritora por primera vez,lo encontre en un boîte á livres ( una caja donde se intercambian libros aqui en Québec, cualquier vecino puede hacer un mostrador o librero ,como quieran llamarle y poner libros y asi comienza el intercambio ) , y que bueno leerla..me gusta mucho como escribe "Jugando con chicos" me hace reir mucho. Qué suerte que encontre éste libro!!
