3:02 Twilight Menu is not an emulator, 3DS is natively backwards compatible with DS, it runs backups of DS games as if you inserted a DS cartridge into the console, yup, you can do that, 3DS plays every DS game except for the ones that require use of the GBA slot

I would’ve just autobooted the 3DS into TwilightMenu or filled my Home Screen with a ton of forwarders and called it a day lol, nice work! Did you enable the RTCOM patches? That way you get the advantages of a 3DS even when playing DS mode, like the ability to use the circle pad for analog movement and the New 3DS’s C stick and triggers

If you have the cartridges you could've just dumped theres software that lets you dump 3DS and DS carts instead of having to download them Also you can find dumps of pictochat that can be installed to a 3DS

i have twilight menu instaled on my ds, and if you can install it on 3ds you should be able to get a ds theme, then auto boot to the twilight menu main screen, infact you might not even have to do the custom boot images you can configure this in the settings, unlses its differnet on 3ds, there is aton of themes on the ds version even r4 and 3ds [and homebrew launcher]
