Tower made me stop playing after a couple weeks. Getting POP gear in kunark made it just too weird for me

Pretty much the same for me, as soon as I realized everyone was just OP and we had 12 weeks of this, yeah it kind of killed the fantasy for me.

If you think the tower gear is bad now... When PoP opens up at the beginning of December, there will be the level 65 tower gear items which have 3 aug slots, type 3, type 7, and Type 25. The type 25 augs add 13AC, 49 HP, and a bunch of other stats. Which means some of these items are going to be comparable to Phase 5 Time gear. Since they made the question decision not to release LDoN with PoP, a lot of people are going to spend most of that 12 weeks waiting for LDoN to open so they can finally fill those type 3 and 7 augs on their overpowered Tower gear. LDoN should open with PoP and should do so on all future servers.

I stopped playing when they banned 4 of my accounts for getting power leveled. Did the power leveler get banned. Nope. I am truly convinced that the GM’s and the people who run EverQuest are in on the Krono and power leveling scam. That’s the only way I can see these power levelers being able to function without any repercussions won’t be returning to request and I played since 1999.

The economy right now is completely borked. It's worse than Oakwynd was after the plat dupe. However, it's still kind of fun to be so overpowered with tower gear.

I was watching a group stream on KZbin, and I watched a power level bot team train a actual live group and every time the group enchanter had mobs locked, they would break the mezz causing the group to become overrun a very toxic in Chardok and Sebilis.

If they do another server like this, they should do a Luclin start so you have AAs from the get go so you actually have something to do at level 60, or they need to make AAs available earlier.

I stopped playing soon as I found the tower. I wanted a p99 type server without the level/expansion caps full of slow leveling and active achievements.

I got my mage to 60 and a few alts to 40+ on Teek. I thought Teek was going to be my solution to being short on time. I thought I could solo and just buy the gear I want because I don't have long uninterrupted play sessions. Problem is, I WAS able to buy all the gear and suddenly I had no real reason to play. What else do I do at max level as a primarily solo player with very good gear? I don't craft. Masochistic faction grinds? The game has lost appeal and I feel like krono is like having cheat codes.

@@PharmacyBrain achievements! Honestly working on some hunter achievements and epics on my alts/boxes! My goal on these servers is not to buy anything , my enchanter is pretty much full bis and all of it I’ve got myself or from raids

@@TBCNexus epics usually require a group at a minimum for certain targets or they're straight up raid targets? I guess I could take a look at the achievements to see what's available. I still feel like I'm trying to force a square peg in a round hole by soloing EQ1. It's never really going to be a terrific experience. I'm thinking about trying EQ2 live for the first time.

6:00 12 weeks is not a slog if you're a casual like me, i like it. Now we just need to remove the krono and i'd start over on teek in a heartbeat

No talk of the GM plat give-a-ways due to Krono disappearing? It's the reason that Krono are 190kpp already in Kunark. The tower cash did account for the initial increase though. The CS team doesn't even check if there is any validity to the missing Krono. If you put in a ticket telling them that a Krono missing from your account, they will send you the current plat equivalent. It's crazy.

I've seen a good chunk of drama in the forums, but I'm glad Teek has been predominantly a good thing! Since the population is low, I will speak on Tormax.. Obviously the population is the downfall of the server, however, it has been the best TLP i've ever played on. I havent had issues levelling up as of yet, as well as: - No PLers (yet) - No krono farmers (could be seen as a con since the market is fairly weak until bazaar) - Full raid schedules Most importantly, I've been able to quest every single thing i wanted! Usually with TLP's, I'm never able to do grinds like Wurmslayer, because it's so heavily locked down. It feels pretty great to have a tight-knit community & grind out the game in it's entirety.

@@TBCNexus The people you are grouped with in that video? I assume its because there are crews in RI that love to go around stealing epic mobs, warping, training etc. Since you are in chardok in that video, maybe you were just leveling and you take any group you can get.

I understand why you and other "time competitive" players/guild want less time in Kunark but this server brought a ton of casuals back who didn't get completely geared in 2 weeks. I am not a fan of starting in Kunark which is the crux of the problem.

As one of those casuals, I’ve been having a blast on Teek! I recognize I’m not really the target audience of the developers, though, and it’s probably better to cater to the bulk of the population (especially since they’re probably the ones spending the most money). I don’t like the idea of the tower gear, so I haven’t bothered with it, but again I’m not a raider so I can get away with that.

@@nathans1787 I think you speak for half the population who didn't get discouraged by the botters and plers. Don't underestimate how many casuals have 2 to 3 accounts they pay for each month. We aren't using spreadsheets or min maxing and largely put more effort into what we do accomplish (because we're winging it and not planning it) which gives greater appreciation for what we do have.

Can we talk about cheating being at an all time high for this fucking game? I played Teek for 3 weeks and couldn't stomache it anymore cause everyone was using a map bot. Everyone was training, everyone was using MAcroquest or some variant of it. What a vile shit show this game has become. It's actually disgraceful. Not to mention the tower which is also just so stupid. Why would you want to delete the reason for playing the game by adding a mechanic to skip everything in every expansion? HELLO?
