Here is my opinion on class rankings for Classic Everquest in the Planes of Power expansion- for the TLP server Oakwynd

Ohhhh boy, it's time for me to tell you ALL ABOUT my opinions on Paladins and this Tier list!!! .... I think it's fine :) I'm happy with B tier for them in PoP. Truthfully I would have put them in B also in Luclin, which I told you on your last tier video, but I feel vindicated that now you put them in B, and I think that's pretty solidly where they belong.

Cool list. I think you’re overlooking some stuff though, for example, In PoP, Druids have the second best direct heals after cleric and the best raid debuffs after slow if they apply their whole stack of 4 it obliterates boss ATK and fire resist and significantly lowers AC and cold. Big attack buff with DENA, MGB heal over time, and a ton more.

Fun list! My opinion: Druid - B tier - Their buff (Nine) is better than Virtue for casters because it comes with mana regen. Their debuffs are insane with attack, AC, and fire resist debuffing. Add in another MGB heal over time, great off healing, dots, decent nukes. Bard - S tier!!! Arguably better pullers than monks and their songs are not only a huge dps for ALL classes but also cause the group to take way less damage so saves healer mana. Enchanter - B tier - They are S tier in group content but C tier in raid. Warrior - S tier - Like clerics, can't do Time without them. Wizard - B tier - On the hardest fights during progression (Tallon Zek and Rallos Zek), they are completely outperformed by rangers and monks. And I swap Rangers and Monks - Similar dps but the ranger can save the day with taunt/weaponshield and can outrange AoEs

After playing BST I really struggle to have fun with another class. I just like the concept of having a pet and going in melee with it. The agro management is a big issue tho.

Definitely agree. I mained a BST in Yelinak and when I see the other BST in our raids, it's just making me want to play a BST again. Such a cool and fun class!

If you have the gear and use the bandelier properly, rogues can still win the parses in pop. Most people just prefer the easy mode of being a monk.

I am pretty sure this has to be from a group perspective and not someone with raid gear. I mained a Rogue in PoP and was top DPS but I had end-game gear. That's to be expected though when running a tier list (imo).

I'd swap monks and rangers but otherwise this is the most spot on list of yours yet! For monks to compete DPS wise they need to have raid tier weapons, rangers just need to afford an elemental bow, have about 30AA, and they're pumpin!

Yeah I was thinking this, if I had to put one class as brokenly OP FINALLY in an expansion this is the ranger expansion, they are gods here. Monks were gods in velious but not so much here.

Paused to comment on SK. We are in fact "decent" dps. Upper middle of the pack i'd say. The problem is we need everything. Haste, weapon, atk, spell focuses. And because we're just "decent" we or at least I rarely get a bard group. That 25% overhaste just widens the gap. Rampage is the other issue, if there's ramp i'm threat capped because I can't feign. Overall, rough period to be an sk.

Clr Dru Bard Chanter Chanter Chanter. Game over. U can swap dru for mage but dru help spot heals charm pets and quality life resets with evac. Charm pets gonna wreck ur parses and anything else in PoP..

Yea, Wizards really shine thru PoP, im critting regularly between 10 and 12k with a 350 mana nuke lol

Mages not that far behind, but yeah wizzies rock. Fire bolt of talon crit for 8500 35% focus, 9450 /w riz. ~400 mana ~ 4.5 sec cast with haste. It does miss sometimes, but has good range. Does not work for shit in POF though ;p

Ehh... Slay undead makes pally better than SK along with stuns. At least an A tier and I dont even play them. DoT stacking makes necros DPS actually well along with charm, pets, and summon corpses. Not sure the orientation of this list but in a raid basically every class is useful except SK's... Kitty crack, druid mana regen, whatever every class can do something cool. I think a better guide would be how annoying each class is to play... and that's coming from an Enc main (S tier right there for that division).

Mages, d tier? Your nuts. Mage rains and AE are just slightly behind wizards. My guild stacks mobs and we ae them down. Ever heard of servant of ro? Ever seen a focused fire pet with aa frenzied burnout? Ever seen all 3 at once? You claim to look at parses, in my guild mages are just below wizards DPS. 35% fire focus, rizonla bard song, 8k crits are common. You’re wrong about pets too.. mine are all minion of darkness focused, level 62, they enrage at 10% health, regen 2x faster, come equipped with mage plate, rathe son has 6400hp unbuffed. I can solo level 64 mobs that hit for 700+ without any cooldowns popped. Can tell you never mained a mage a day in your life. There's a few targets in time and fire where MGB mage DS comes in handy too, fire based fear's etc.

Mage aa such as servant of ro are completely useless on motm bosses because mage are aggro cap. Rains are whatever since they are target capped. Mage is def one of the best trash clearing dps though, they just get destroyed.by motm.

Without motm, mage have the highest burst in PoP. 1k dps on some non motm bosses from eartha rings. Too bad they suck on motm.

It's true aggro is still a problem, like everyone else. Only wizards and necro get any kind of aggro control. POP fights are a bit short of Necro's to shine. Druids are actually not terrible either, 3 best casting DPS after Wizard , Mage, and Druid. Just don't see how the 2nd best caster DPS in the game, with some utility thrown in qualifies as "C" tier. Guess he felt like he had to put something there. We have a DPS focused druid in our guild who actually gave a shit, and put on his try hard pants. Dude routinely made it to top 15 DPS, on 72 man raids. Our wizards where usually #1, followed by mages #2, and monk/rogue/ranger trading blows with everyone but the wizards.

imo - S Tier: Warrior, Cleric, Monk, Bard. Warrior is the best tank, Cleric is the best healer, Monk is top DPS for PoP, Bards are just amazing. I don't really think any class is rank D in PoP. I think rank D is more like a classic rogue who is pretty much a waste of a group slot. You almost need 2 of these class rankings. 1 for grouping and 1 for raiding.

Ranger is by far the best dps for progression in PoP. Monk gets hit by everything such as rathe council slow/dot. And monk do less dmg on big bosses anyway cause trueshot

Rangers are close in dps until monks get the Shinai from time. Also good groups will be curing their dps with radiant cure and melee should be avoiding the first dot anyways. Trueshot is very strong no doubt but you pretty much get 1 MAYBE 2 uses of it during a raid night due to long cd. I would put rangers at a very strong "A".

Cant keep curing rathe aoe, too much apm. Also melee get owned by aoe ramp, even with max range positioning. Ranger much less vulnerable and do 95% of a shinai monk.

This is complete BS! Enchanters should be S tier! How do you expect to even get to Time without an enchanter mezzing the Rathe Council? What about how much easier they make the first phase of time?! What about all of the massive DPS they provide in mana regen and haste? This list is preposterous!

lol wizard is #1 DPS and you put them as c tier? hilarious. Wiz is A tier, mage b tier, and for pop, necro unfortunately falls behind a bit, probably C tier, I think bst deserve more then C, simply for their paragon's. We usually have 5 bst popping their paragon's on tough raid encounters, along with mgb celestials. @@phlemrazzes7704

Yeah I primarily look through a raid lense! There’s very little “grouping” going on at this stage on a tlp !

@usAh you know Infusion of light hits for 96k right? there's always at least one mage topping the DPS charts in our raids cause they got a lucky 96k, happens more then the 5% chance would lead you to believe. As many targets in time are Constructs, POF too. Bard song helps alot too, throw a riz playing bard in a group of mages with 35% damage focus, popping off 8k crits regularly. Aggro is the biggest problem for mages. Our drake pet nukes for 2100 about ever 2-3 seconds, for 45 seconds, the nuke has -200 fire resist. and a 10 minute re-use. This pet alone is good for 32k damage, a Frenzied burnout fire pet double cast it's nuke (852x2) ALOT within 30 seconds, also good for a solid ~18k within i'ts duration. Both of these abilities allow full mobility and casting from the mage while they are active. A 35% focus mage with Rizolna's max hit with Fire bolt of talon is 3150, and max crit 9450. So a mage in full burn with Drake + Frenzied Fire Pet + 4.2 Second (max haste + spell haste) Fire bolt of talon critting for 9450 is quite a force to be reckoned with. Nevermind the 5% 96k infusion of light crits against constructs. Unfortunately if you where to pop all abilities and go full burn you'd top aggro in about 15 seconds and get smashed. Though as the warrior's get better geared you can definitely turn up the heat a bit more.
