Manuela Allen was missing from her bedroom, all that was left behind was a crime scene. Investigators would first look at the family, especially the husband. However, it would turn out someone else close, someone with revenge on the mind, was behind this.

The really sad part to me is that police interrogators held him in custody over 6 hours delivering progressively worse lines of questioning. Each line of questioning making the active assumption that he was guilty while the interrogators believed he was guilty and refused to even consider other suspects. Interrogators should not be allowed to lie to a potential suspect for a desired result and they should not be allowed to use scare tactics like "do you honestly think a jury is going to hear this evidence and believe you slept through all of it? They are going to send you to the electric chair". That last question mentioned goes well beyond "qualified / justified immunity". That is threatening a suspect and is a violation of civil rights. I hope the husband sued the ever loving crap out of this police / sheriff's office, the county and state that would have overseen his potential trial, etc for allowing their own deputized officers to attempt to badger anyone into a confession. They also failed to provide the suspect with legal representation in the interrogation which makes any confession he could have given them at that time completely inadmissible in court. These officers should be ashamed of themselves for how they handled the interrogation of the husband / father.

There is something seriously wrong with males in this country. They simply don't know how to regulate their emotion of anger, which seems to be the predominant emotion in them. Are older males not teaching them how to grow? It seems not. Every day there is a story of a rage filled male killing innocent people, usually women. Just yesterday, a 67 year old geezer killed people on a university in Nevada. This is a serious problem no one addresses. They are just called monsters and life goes on for the living. Sickening.

When the body was found he'd play this atmospheric music, one for a, let's call it, light murder and one for a completely brutal one - same with revealing if this was a complete maniac. So weird he wanted to blame the dad. I was going to cry, at the thought of a husband and father doing something like that. That poor man what he had already experienced and that kid to try and drag him to hell with him.
@sorryifoldcomment8596
@sorryifoldcomment8596 8 ай бұрын
How is it weird to blame the dad, when partner or ex-partner is usually the culprit already? and it's reasonable to think it's pretty insane he slept through such a violent altercation, people moving through the house, dragging bodies, car leaving in the middle of the night, potential GUN SHOT, etc. And it's not like there was any evidence offsetting this damning situation. Nothing proving his innocence; no reason to cross him off the list as at least being an accomplice. Honestly, the only thing working in his favor in the slightest was just how little effort the murderer(s) put into not making it look like the dad was involved in some capacity. If it was the dad, he did a terrible job trying to cover his tracks. However, he wouldn't be the first man to murder his partner and totally fail to properly cover his tracks. _(Obviously when it comes to actually convicting someone in a court of law it's "innocent until proven guilty," and "treat the defendent like their innocence is presumed," etc. But, that cannot be the case for investigations...because, if you presume everyone is innocent until proven guilty, then you can only investigate people who have already been proven guilty...which is going to be basically no one, seeing as investigating potentially innocent people is the only way you can get the necessary evidence proving their guilt!)_ Point is...this reaction I see in so many comments seems like "hindsight bias." (Not the comments reacting negatively to every detail concerning how the police handled everything (like the cop telling the dad he was going to get the electric chair); just the comments reacting negatively to how the police "blamed the dad," thought he was guilty, etc.) Think about almost every other murder case covered by true crime channels like That Chapter. If the police didn't react the same way and the partner wasn't blamed in this case, then *statistically* you would be commenting about how 'horrendous & unjust it was for the police to let such an obvious murderer go free'...because *statistically* the partner _would_ be guilty. _(Hell, he wouldn't even be the first one to wait for their daughter to discover the crime scene on her own, in their house...then make a show of working with his daughter to try to brainstorm possible explanations, go look for the missing mom together - like at the hospital - so the daughter can genuinely share this with the police. And even if the police don't buy it, at least he can put work into convincing his kid(s) that he's 100% innocent first.)_

@@sorryifoldcomment8596 You seem to like to talk a lot but you seem to have a difficult time actually listening to what others say or write. Next time listen to what people are saying before you pontificate.

People are always amazed when people sleep through stuff but i had an uncle that could sleep through anything. Hell he once slept through getting beat with a basball bat. My uncle snored ( bad, you could literally stand in his front yard and hear him )and growing up he shared a room with his brother (my other uncle) and one night his snoring was so bad my other uncle tried to wake him up and couldn't. He finally got so fed up he started beating his legs with a baseball bat. He never woke up. He just woke up the next Morning and had no clue why he had bruises all over his legs.

@@lilacopeland9624 well one thing I've noticed is people that snore tend to be harder to wake up than other people. I don't have any science backing it up but I think it has to do with lack of oxygen(sleep apnea )while they sleep. It causes them to sleep "deeper" than people who don't snore
