He was drunk asf and made a bad decision that costed his life, as a real friend you’re supposed to be there to stop your friend from doing something like tht. You make no sense bro, would you cheer your extremely drunk friend on to jump off the top of a building? This is the same thing. He thought it’d be cool bc he was obliterated and his “friends” were cheering him on, standing by and recording. It’s not like the kid just randomly jumped off, it was building up for a while if you watch the video and they only started recording bc they knew he was going to do it, someone could’ve easily stopped him. They also had no concern for him after he jumped off, dude recording literally goes “bye bye”. Cmon bro.

You can hear Cameron scream at the end, he was taken by a large Tiger Shark; as they frequently roam those waters. Party boats are notorious for throwing discarded food overboard, which is a dinner bell; and the Tiger Shark is an opportunistic predator. When the life saver was tossed in the water a smaller shark reacted thinking it was food, and the bigger threat zeroed in on Cameron the second he hit that water.

I was Cameron as a young man. Racing cars, jumping off bridges, blowing things up with homemade bombs, swimming in rapids, etc etc. One day, I was talking to my dad and he was telling me about a man who was at lowes just shopping and a lift machine knocked a pallet off from the other side of the aisle and it crushed and killed him. I had just wrecked a dirt bike that day goin 80 and was still surprised I was unscathed. And I remember saying, "its not really fair, I'm always doing dumb stuff and this guy was just shopping and gets taken." I grew up a bit that day. I don't think Cameron was a dumb kid who deserved to die. He was just a kid who didn't get the chance to grow up.

I can’t stop thinking about how his last minutes were... I had just gotten back from my first cruise (also to the Bahamas) a couple weeks before this happened. Even if the shark attack wasn’t immediate, IT IS DARK OUT THERE!!! We’d admire our balcony view at night, it was beautiful but super scary at the same time. I can only imagine that lit, loud boat getting quieter and tinier as it goes off into the distance… Until eventually, it’s just you, the sound of waves and pure blackness all around… 😖 I don’t wish that fate on anyone but he did it to himself…

I was in the Bahamas when it happened!! I was there for my sons senior trip and we had 6 moms and 6 boys. It wasn’t a “cruise ship” but more like a catamaran “sunset booze cruise”. This group had hundreds of kids from Louisiana with very little chaperones!! Look at what cruises do to water that’s far away from them. It’s well known that it’s very easy to get sucked underneath a large boat. Now what’s weird is that he seems to be consciously evading something, and it’s well know sharks follow cruises at that spot. The fact that they haven’t found him kinda says it all though. So regardless of how he died he was eaten by sharks.

@happy777abc drunk or not, that was extremely out-of-pocket. Being inebriated isn't an excuse for being a heartless asshole, if anything, it reveals their true character. I knew a lot alcoholics during my 20s that I no longer associate with because the things they would say & do was indicative of their character. It wasn't just because they were drunk that I stop hanging around them, it was because they really were careless assholes that I lost patience & desire for.
@happy777abc
@happy777abc Жыл бұрын
@@ApotheosiZ and that's one view. Lots of people I know who drank a lot, hundreds of island locals, were not heartless at all. The guy who said it may not have remembered a thing and may have been merely walking by to the bar as he saw someone swimming. Bye bye can mean, dude how are gonna get in the boat!? The person may have had no idea that he was going to die any moment. They were on a booze cruise for fun and celebrating. The last thing the kid would process was the star baseball, who can swim strongly is gonna die. He was just having a good time celebrating. I have zero interest in alcohol. I stopped at age 17, as I played too many sports to want to drink. But many childhood friends neighbors and acquaintances that did drink were not mean nor vindictive. I choose to see the best in people. There is no way to read what was in the kids mind who say bye bye. Absolutely zero way to know.

I've always been terrified of heights, so I never would have done this, but I can look back at my younger years and see the many ways I could have died. Hell, I was in the honors dorm at LSU my first semester in college, on the same campus where this kid was from, and that first weekend in the dorm with the best of the best of Louisiana was the wildest scene I've ever seen in my life. Kids passed out in the stairwells, at least two different ambulance calls, and I had tons of random knocks on my dorm room from people who could hardly stand up straight, it was like the college parties you see in movies. People that age just don't make smart decisions.
