They leave the dinner table on holidays when we medical people sit down. We have awesome conversations, even with the kids. My children were conditioned not to be grossed out or disgusted by medicine. My medical text books were not hidden. They went on yo medicine as well. @@bellamacedonio Cesarean section when the baby is surgically removed from the abdomen. Most doctors make what they call “a bikini cut” where the incision is made very low on the belly. I’ve had to have three because the first was an emergency after many hours of labor but some people schedule them deliberately because they don’t want to go through a vaginal birth! My first two are only 13 months apart so they wouldn’t allow me to try labor the second time because I had had a wound infection and they were concerned the scar wasn’t strong enough after only one year. After that, my third cesarean was recommended. Moms can try it for a V-BAC which means vaginal birth after cesarean. ✌🏽

I delivered via c-section at a hospital that teaches our future doctors. I had at least 15 people in the room during the birth and was laid out on that table for just over 2 hours. They taught everyone in the room, and took their time doing so. It was amazing to hear the conversations, questions, and anatomy lessons given between all the doctors and students, the gasps and noises they all made during. I'm so I'm glad I could help out. I think it was memorable for most of those students because it was their first time watching and participating in a c-section. It was obviously very memorable for me too. The delivery was the easiest part for me. Getting feeling back into your body is unexplainable sensation and as soon as you feel your toes again, about 4 hours later, they make you try to walk. That was the hardest part. Oh, and this was all done in the height of covid. What a crazy and amazing experience! So Blessed!

A naturopath showed us each of several bodies so we didn’t touch them. The naturopathic students do dissections at the university. It was a very respectful process and educational, of course. I have never heard of a teaching hospital asking for volunteers like you. It makes sense. Someone asked what C-section meant so I answered: A cesarean section is when the baby is surgically removed from the abdomen. I’ve had three because the first was an emergency after many hours of labor but some people schedule them deliberately because they don’t want to go through a vaginal birth! My first two are only 13 months apart so they wouldn’t allow me to try labor the second time because I had had a wound infection and they were concerned the scar wasn’t strong enough after only one year. Less intense, but reminds me of a health class in middle school where we watched a documentary that featured footage of a woman giving birth. To be clear, we had been thoroughly briefed on it beforehand, both by my teacher and by older students who had been shown the same documentary, but I’ll still never forget the look of sheer sadistic delight on my teacher’s face as she watched a room full of 13-14 year olds react. She was a great teacher tbh, one of the rare health teachers who actually did a good job, I always feel really lucky when I hear other people tell horror stories.

Every orphan who was dumped by their mother has to thank their mother, too? Foh. Thank your parents for keeping you alive but don't thank them for conceiving and birthing. They don't birth children for your sake. Birthing children is a consequence of a fertile people's choices or wishes. It's a selfish thing to do.

If I had it my way society would be divided into people that were born naturally and people that were born via c section and the c section people would all get secret benefits and be bestowed with hidden knowledge. C section people would all have eyes wide shut parties and stuff like that too, regular people would basically only be here to serve us but they'd have no idea.

I tried for 8+ hours to give a natural birth. My son's head was getting stuck. They had to take me into an emergency c section. The fear and worry I had for my baby was like no other 😭 When I heard him cry when they got him out, all that stress and worry washed away. I'd do it all over again. His safety and the past 4 years, and many more to come, of his life is more important to me than those who say "the easy way out." It definitely was not easy. The pure fear that my baby wasn't going to be okay, broke my soul 😭 We do what we have to do to make sure our babies are safe and healthy❤️ also, the healing process is not as simple as natural birth. I had to get a blood clot cut out weeks after giving birth.
