So for 40 years this perpetrator who savagely took this innocent girl’s life walked free to do whatever he pleased, while this poor family, including her boyfriend suffered. It angers me that his anguish was for only the last two years of his life. Rip Carla.

Oh no, the perps anguish is only beginning because he is in the hands of almighty God! If this man did not seek God and repent for what he did, he's going to be thrown into the Lake of fire where there is no end to his suffering. You can be sure that God will avenge her death! ✝️🙏

I think that it worked out quite nicely actually. The murderer’s evil little secret was revealed - his reputation in ruins - and the end of his life was spent in prison after he had thought that he had got away with it. All importantly though, Carla, her family and Rodney, her boyfriend, finally got the justice they deserved. RIP Carla.

My heart breaks for this man, his family and Rodney. Knowing he went straight to Carla’s house to get her dad instead of his own home after such a traumatic situation shows how close he was to not only Carla but her family. Everything was taken from Carla but his whole world was shattered and taken away as well along with her family. Her brother is truly amazing as well.I know Carla has been looking down over him so proud of what he’s done for her and for so many others. He took his pain and turned it into purpose not only to solve his sisters case but to help as many other families as he possibly can.
@missym877
@missym877 3 ай бұрын
Why would he go get his dad? Of course he was going to get CARLA’s Dad, that was HER dad afterall. You all see one little video and assume so much about people. You have no clue how close or supportive his family may have been for him. But in this scenario, it would have made no sense to drive to his own home when he knew Carla’s family was probably wondering where she was.

Closure implies they can close the door and leave it behind--which just doesn't happen. Maybe a more accurate way to put it would be a new and more acceptable balance to their life after Carla. Her brother will never leave grieving her behind but he can stop looking around him, wondering if he's looking at her murderer when he's looking at one of his neighbours.

Everyone giving praise for Carla’s family giving grace to Rodney. My god, Rodney didn’t do anything to need Grace over. I can only imagine how horrific this was for him, at the time and to live with his entire life. Because the perpetrator was not caught until decades later, not because he should live with guilt I’m so sorry that those monsters took such a beautiful life and deeply affected so many more. He only suffered two yrs in prison but he is suffering eternity in he!!.

I am so glad this case is solved! It has really bothered me over the years. Thank you to the detectives and scientists who didn't give up on Catla's case! And her brother never gave up on solving her case either. He is to be commended. The Walker family is full of grace and strength!

I was scrolling by and was shocked to see a picture of myself on the thumbnail. No, it wasn't me but if you wondered what girls looked like in the 70's this is the model. We all had round faces, long hair parted down the middle, and a lot of us had blonde hair. I could have so easily been her. We didn't know ugly things could befall us back then. Bless her and her family!

I've always been curious, how did girls back in the 70's made you hair so shiny and voluminous?

@@ChiniWanders Yes!! Karla was so beautiful and had such incredible hair. I really would love to know how women in the 70s obtained that voluminous hair.

I can relate to that feeling too when looking at Carla's photograph. Imagine being only a twelve year old at the time while wishing you could go along with your dad to help look for your missing sister too. During the 1970's to take out a marriage license you had to first get a blood test done. Now I know why it was being done back then and also too maybe why the results of a blood test first isn't required to obtain a marriage license anymore too. Isn't it about time we come up with another slightly different kind of monastic rule for North America now too?

This was my exact reaction, too! It's even how I often wore my hair. We were the same age (actually I would have been 1 year older) and it stopped me in my tracks, as well, to see a girl who looked like me and all of my friends. Movies and TV get it wrong so often.

What is the point of murdering someone? To feel good inside? If you do feel good inside then it will only be for about 2 seconds and then you will realize what you have done. You have taken a wonderful human, and deprived them of their future. Absolutely sickening, and then you also will get arrested for first hand murder for a long time. Like just watch Netflix or even READ instead of murdering someone.

🥺😥😭 I broke when I heard that Rodney blamed himself… It was so hard to hear her brother recount what had happened… it was extra hard when I heard what that selfish monster did… You all helped to stop him from getting away with what he did.

Tragic. Obviously gutted for the family, but that one night had to mess up rodneys entire life. Nobody, especially a kid, should have to carry the weight of something like that.

A good family friend was murdered in her home, in Bailey, CO, on 12/1/2017. She would have turned 18 on 12/17/17. Local law enforcement says that she walked in on a burglary in her home. Local law enforcement was also very tight lipped about this case. I believe that partial DNA was at the scene. If you can research the DNA, it would be awesome. This child's name was Maggie Long. She was a wonderful person. 💛

That $7500 price tag will get smaller as we use and perfect the technology. Running DNA used to be $1000 and a 24 hour procedure that required someone to be involved throughout. Now it's $100 and once you get it started, you can walk away and come back at the end.
