Today I will be reacting to the sentencing of Mackenzie Shirilla, 19 in a court in Ohio over the deaths of her boyfriend Dominic Russo, 20, and another passenger Davion Flanagan, 19, in July last year. Shirilla, who was 17 at the time, drove her Toyota Camry without braking at speeds of 100 mph into a brick building killing Russo, and Flanagan.

15 to life REALLY how about 25 or 30 to life no parole until at least 30 is served She shouldn't get out I can tell from the eyes n her parents that she has evil n vindictiveness there The fact she read a prepared speech n didn't speak from the heart or soul is TROUBLING to me and may indicate a lack of humanity or remorse remotely there because REAL PEOPLE speak from what's inside you cab see it n feel it n I do NOT see a redeemable quality inside her

Her mother is cold. The term narcissist is overused, and I am not a psychiatrist to diagnose, but she should be evaluated for clinical narcissistic personality disorder. When your child kills another, to casually just say "So sorry guys" is insane.

In most cases, ESPECIALLY here in the u.s. young men are charged much more harshly than young women, especially young women such as this one. It is just a bias and it should not be. I have also seen cases similar to this where the woman was NOT a small pretty girl and they were charged in the same manner. It is a bias towards the age and the gender and my opinion is that the law is the law. It should not be different based on gender, age or ethnicity but unfortunately we are seeing a lot of this bias in todays courtrooms.

The insincerity of Mackenzie’s mother is absolutely evident and shocking. And she calls Dominick’s mom a LIAR, no less. Lady, it’s obvious where your kid got her entitlement issues. If there was real justice, you’d be doing time too.

This girl is a murderer, she tried to kill everyone in that car, including herself!! But as usual, the driver always survives💯.. this mother could care less about the victims. In this case, all she wanted to speak about is her daughter, not one bit of remorse, came out of her mouth, she should’ve spoke about the victims 1st not her daughter.. You are absolutely right as soon as the Judge gave her some rebuttal, she didn’t want to speak anymore & now it’s time for you to Morn for your Daughter & even when the daughter walked out of the qCourt room, she showed no remorse. All she said is I love you all to her parents.

You are awesome!!! Loved hearing your comments on this one and I agree on all levels with your opinions. She killed 2 innocent young men and killed 3 families at the same time. Life without parole is the only justice for her actions. Is there any outlet that we can access to see the pictures?

Kayla Mendoza from Florida killed 2 other girls in a drunk driving accident. She got 24 years. I got a homie doing life with no possibility of parole for an attempted murder when he was 18. We are 42 now. The justice system is jacked up. No rhyme or reason to the way they hand out sentences.

As a father of 2. I cant even begin to feel their pain. No parent should have to bury a child. I pray the parents of the victims. Can one day find peace and live a somewhat normal life. My heart breaks for them. Because of someone's selfish ways. These parents have to go on without their children. May god help them through this process. 😢

Guilty or not that judge is supposed to be impartial. That statement to her mom was uncalled for. This girl very well might not remember what happened after hitting a brick wall going 100mph. I think she was trying to kill herself and everyone in the car, but the truth is only God knows the hows and the whys at this point. No one should take it out on the family members though, especially not that dumb judge. That’s disgusting! And she might never see her daughter again either, except at visitation! So that mom WILL suffer and the judge is treating her like she is guilty of something too! That’s why the father was like oh F this crap. I’m givin the judge another opportunity to take a swing at us. He could respond to another provocation from the judge in a way that could land him in jail for contempt. THIS IS SAD ALL THE WAY AROUND BUT THE JUDGE IS OUT OF LINE. I also think this girl has mental problems and was or is suicidal.

She’ll be out in 10. You have to realize that men and women and completely treated differently in the justice system in the USA. I just watched a true crime episode recently where a 24 yo girl set up, torchured and murdered her boyfriend to death with her 32 yo drug dealer. the man got death row, she got 15 flat. She lured him and set him and and help every step of the way he also didn’t get charged for the drugs either 🤷‍♂️

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree of a narcissist (NPD), there is not an ounce of remorse in that murderer's mother. Josh correctly highlighted "SHE", she she she, Mackenzie's mother's words are empty of emotions. If you ever analyze narcissistic personality disorder, some are able to turn on a teardrop on demand, it is a short 1 to 2 drop and poof, they stop because they don't have emotional feelings. You will note, when our emotions kick in, it is very hard to shut down the flow of our tears because we are overwhelmed with gut-wrenching emotions, NPD doesn't function that way. They can't, they don't have feelings, but they will imitate what they believe to be feelings, and the majority of the time, they fall flat. The sentence is deplorable, it is disgusting and doesn't do justice for the two murdered victims and their family. My condolences to the family of the two murdered young men. JMO, Mil/Leo/CB-Anyl ret.

I would be interested in seeing the auto crash report and what Evidence the wreckage left. Certain models of Toyota’s and Lexus accelerate when they shouldn’t. Floor board issues keeps the gas pedal stuck down and car will continue to accelerate. Issue with a car incident on the California highway after 2010 in San Diego. Loss of life is terrible the intentions can not really be determined. Its terrible justice should be carried out but with all the evidence. My prayers to all the families involved nothing can ever replace your loved ones.
