The reason these movies worked with such a ridiculous premise is Fox and Bateman were charming and likeable (and great actors). It's just dumb silly fun which is why the 80s were the best.

This scene always bugged me because it seemed to rushed to have him feel that comfortable in his new werewolf form having literally just transformed in the previous scene Like at least with the original they put more detail and emphasis into telling the story of how the main character adapted into becoming the wolf That and the teacher at the end being revealed as a wolf herself like wtf no backstory no explanation Still an 80s classic

Contrary to his cousin, hes aware of the Wolf. Characters were expecting it. Problem is the movie didnt try to take it all further. Its the same film with less of the charm.

I think part of the confidence has to do with the way it made him feel and he did grow up around werewolves so maybe a part of him wanted that for himself but never wanted to say it
