The finale/basketball game of 'Teen Wolf', which had nothing to do with being a werewolf and everything to do with NOT being the wolf, for all of it's use of cliches, is one of the most perfectly executed sports montage scenes in all of film!

Another gem would be "Marianne Faithful - Love hates' from Jame Spader's movie 'Tuff turf'. Probably one of the most hard hitting emotional and bad ass songs from the 80's, no question.
