Ayyyeee…the Ivory Queen a.k.a. Lady T! You can never go wrong with Teena - the catalog runs deep with bops! If you haven’t yet, you should react to Lovergirl, If I Were A Bell, Portuguese Love, Dear Lover, I’m Going To Have My Cake (And Eat It Too). All 🔥🔥🔥

Yes! She is so underrated! Teena Marie is one of the greats! “Fire and Desire” with the late, great Rick James is one of my favorite duets of all time! “Ooo La La La”, “Square Biz”, “Lovergirl”, “Deja Vu”, “Portuguese Love”, “”Out on a Limb”, “”A Rose by Any Other Name”, “Young Love”, “Behind the Groove”, “If I Were A Bell”, “I’m A Sucker For Your Love”, “Irons in the Fire”, and “Aladdin’s Lamp” are just a few! 😎👍🏽👏⭐️ Great reaction by Ashley! Thank you 🙏🏼 so much for your request! Love it! 💜🧡💚🩵🩷❤️💕🌸🌺🌼💟🌹🌷👍🏽👍🏽👏👏⭐️⭐️😎😎😎😎😎😎🎤🎶🎵🎼RIP QUEEN!

@Fruit17-ip4vl24 күн бұрын
@@davewayne1217 I understand your point Dave. Not in a negative way! She deserves more accolades in my opinion! She is so deserving! By the way underrated means having more importance, value, skill or power than people RECOGNIZE! I am glad Rick James recognized her! He is responsible for The Mary Jane Girls as well! I love his duet with Smokey Robinson called “Ebony Eyes” and “Standing On The Top” with The Temptations! Teena Marie is so much better than what some people think! She is not rated or valued high enough! That’s just me! Take care! I appreciate you! 😎❤️

Teena Marie, what can you say about this phenomenal soul sister, who sang with so much depth, love, creativity, expression, respect, and passion, on every song she sang up until her passing away. Check out that whole orchestra with the horn section and violins and more. I miss Teena so much. Check out her other songs like, 'I'm a sucker for your love,' 'If I were a bell,' 'Cassanova Brown,' Behind the Groove,' 'Work it,' Lover Girl,' 'Ooo La La La,' 'Portuguese Love.'

I love hearing the story of when she was first heard and the label wanted to meet her. When she showed up, she showed up with some of her friends. The person for the label went to all the black ladies that was with her before they went to her. her voice was before its time and timeless at the same time. R.I.P.

Unlike most other white artists who crossed over to R&B from pop, Teena was a straight-up R&B artist, who happened to be white. ALL her songs were soul/R&B. It's why she was known as the Ivory Queen of Soul, and will ALWAYS be welcome at the cookout. RIP Lady Tee.
