Reminds me of how I had to have a police escort for 6 months back in 6th grade because I told my counselor about a nightmare I had been having that involved Freddy Krueger. One of the kids helping in the office heard it and spread the rumor that I was going to start killing people. It got out of control and boom, constant police escorts as long as I was on the school property. It finally ended when my dad got his college to present a $2.5 million lawsuit against the school unless they could provide actual proof that I was a danger to the students. Next day the police escort was gone and everything went back to normal. Though we did have to file about 50 restraining orders on crazy parents.

Ok. One of the many ways people unfairly discriminate is by temperament. Given that the majority of people are extroverted people who are introverted are often the target of statements like "it's the quiet ones you gotta watch" and so on. What makes someone a mass murderer is not simple and being concerned about kids who keep to themselves is not really going to prevent such tragedies.

While I get sarcasm, you have freedom of speech but that doesn't take away responsibility for what you say. With that being said, 8 years for a flipped stupid comment is a bit much. I don't know any judge that would convict that harsh of a sentence. For the punishment to fit the crime (if it can be called that, to me just someone popping off at the mouth in a regular conversation that would take place on a and MOBA or MMO), hey you can't pay LoL for awhile. I don't know if people where offended but in these times (mass killings et al) everyone is on edge. Should he be sentence to jail, no I don't think so. I can defiantly say I have said comments that would be offense to others during heated game play. 8 years in jail, sounds like profiteering from privatized confinement facilities. If I where a judge, time served, community service type of deal.
