I like how Splinter actually drops the accent after Shredder calls it off, and Shredder is so flabbergasted by the whole situation at hand he doesn’t even notice. And he was the one who called it out! Great video.

@@TheUnknownGruntProductionsI mean, I think it could also work with 1987 and 2012 Shredder. They speak English perfectly with no accent despite being born and raised in Japan and yet the Splinters from both series are also from Japan yet are the only ones with accents? Something's not right.

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@OwGash The 2003 TMNT was mad confusing, there 3 different Shredders in it. But anyway early seasons Shredder( the one in silver here) is a Utrom war criminal of whom took the identity of the original Human Shredder and now sees himself as such.

I am to be fair Ultrom Shredder was living in Japan during Feudal Japan and lived for many years if anything he probably gained the accent from training... But yeah its weird they made him an Ultrom in 2003. Where in other versions he is a Japanese human.
