Couple of notes: - Many characters in this are based off characters created for the 1987 animated tv series. - Vernon “Vern” Fenwick is April’s cowardly cameraman from that series. - Whoopi Goldberg’s Bernadette Thompson is based on Berne Thompson, the chief/owner from that series. - April’s roommate and best friend Taylor is based on April’s best friend Irma from that series (the name was changed for not being “cool enough” for Michael Bay, similar to why Bruce Banner being renamed David Banner in the 80’s TV series).

New Jack refers to New Jack Swing. A musical genre from the mid 80's-mid 90's. A lot of classic Hip-hop/RnB/Pop songs are New Jack Swing. Not surprised they wouldn't know this

The turles were not actually being Teenagers would not have been a huge deal if they didn't bring it up every time and especially when the film had a flashback scene of the turtles actually being teenagers.

I guess I have to re watch this movie because I remember it being pretty cool. At least a solid 7/10. Sometimes I think they need to take breaks between films to actually enjoy them and not just consume them for content. Really seems like everyone except Andy is shitting on this movie which should easily go after TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze.

I didn't think this movie was too bad, I had fun. Maybe I just had my expectation super low over the years. But I agree with Andy, it's not any worse than the 90s movies. Those are bad, watching them as an adult years later.

This movie is straight booty, for every element that worked for me there were like 10 that made me want to pull the ejecto-seato. I'd genuinely watch any of the preceding movies twice before watching this one again. If I have to watch another movie with a freaking Magic Blood subplot, I'm going to scream. Really hope Out of the Shadows zeroes in on the dumb fun that this one struggled to get even close to.

This movie sucks so bad, it's unbelievable how every single one of these films is botched in some way shape or form. Some cool stuff but mostly sickening camera angles, poorly lit shots, and mediocre to bad acting. Michael Bay ruins everything he touches
