This was in 1997 when her voice was starting to get tired. The tone is still amazing but technique wise, she was much better in 1994/1995/1996. I know, its crazy how her voice can change so much between a mere year.

Fun fact: this is an unfinished song, she Co wrote it with long time collaborator at Columbia records named Walter Affanaisef, since her relationship with the label was deteriorating they farbade them to work with each other anymore so in signal of respect to him she decided not to finish the lyrics so that's why she has a long time where she is only vocalizing but no actual words after the second chorus right before the climax.

This is in 1997, one of her most hardest song ever, it’s like a roller coaster song, switching from low to high notes. She is not on her prime here but she did great. Fun fact: This is actually an incomplete song that's why the third verse has no lyrics and Mariah vocalizing. This is because she Co wrote it with with Walter Affanaisef but since she was breaking up with Sony music with this album they forbade him to work with Mariah, so outta respect to him she left it like that. She got inspired for this song while she was vacationing in Puerto Rica hence the guitar chords used, she was astounded with the beauty of the island that she incorporated a bit of Latin flavor to it. This is also one of her hardest songs to sing, has notes as low as the 2nd octave, she has to switch between registers in the space of a letter adn make octave jumps. The belting is quite difficult because with an open vowel like "a" you can easily soubd as if you're shouting and she is not trying to convey that emotion.
