i believe at the time that US didn't really look at things outside of the states , more in the 80's with the emerging of bands like Loose Ends and then 90'S with Soul II Soul

I know this was posted a year ago, but wanted to leave a comment. This takes me back to my youth. You were not allowed to sing live on Top of the Pops, it was all lip synced, but this young girl couldn’t do it so she was allowed to sing live.
