I seem to have a problem with mine. Just bought it recently and whenever I cook fries either it be frozen or fresh they always get all smashed up? Any idea why?
@MrSmirnoff014 жыл бұрын
Try another brand of frozen. When cooking fresh fries make sure you wash and dry them well. And do not add salt until the program ends. Hope this helps.

Hi can I ask a question please? If you have chicken or meats in the top bowl where does the oil drain does it in any way go in the chip bowl? I have vegetarian and non veggie members if my family and thinking of getting one only if they are definitely separate :/ thank you

Hi, I had one 2in1, now I have just the express XL, and I can tell you the oil and fat from the upper tray does not go anywhere, stays in the tray. But I'm a bit picky with food so I like very well cooked meat (the chicken in the video is too raw for me). So at the end I only use the actifry for the potatoes and that's it, always with a spoon or two of olive oil.

As I see, as you place the top tray with the chicken, the bottom tray with fries stops rotating. The fries position was the same before you placed the chicken and when you removed. Can you confirm? If so, then cllaing it 2in1 is chating from Tefal and the device is useless. Otherwise it looks a clever, good gadget. :)
@MrSmirnoff016 жыл бұрын
Fries position not the same, all work fine, if top tray rotating, everything in bottom tray rotating is well.

I'm 62 years old weigh 165lbs have no cholesterol problems no heath issues never have and I eat what I want how I want so you can waist time on all this fad crap or just eat and enjoy the foods and eat the right foods ad this thing uses oils too so it is not much better if any
@haloshadowsnipe30146 жыл бұрын
I'm 21 years old, 6 foot 4, and 190 pounds. This thing isn't a fad, I just bought the express XL version (it takes around 30 min for fries) and for 2 pounds of fries it only uses one spoon of oil. Whenever I deep fried my fries (before I had the air fryer) the fries had to be cooked in two batches of around 15 min (so it takes around the same time) put onto paper towels to remove the excess oil, and even then they tasted greasy and made my fingers oily. The fries I made with the air fryer: -Taste great (they taste 90% as good as deep fried) -Are not greasy at all (3 grams of fat per serving vs 15 grams) -They take less effort (I just put them in and when it is done it turns itself off) -It doesn't make the whole house smell like oil -it saves money on buying oil since it only uses one spoon each time (instead of filling an entire deep-fryer) -And finally, it is extremely easy to clean (just put it in the dishwasher, I don't have to deal with disposing of oil)
@oscarburke52446 жыл бұрын
wow you really are a sucker and a bad cook...30 minutes to cook fries? wow frozen fries, and I bet mostly you use frozen ones, take less then 5 minutes and weather you know it or not they are fried already once then frozen so your facts at fucked. and if you do use home cut fresh potatoes to properly prepare them takes more then an hour to blanch them and if you want them crunchy and more tasty you boil them for a few minutes then dry them and freeze them for a few hours at least the cook them in this contraption of deep fry and as for that chick it was pre cooked that was obvious. If you really want healthy back them with the chicken or on the grill. as far as the oil goes it is biodegradable and reusable for a while if you fry a lot and is very easy to dispose of so you been shot down there and if you eat 2 pounds of fries or potatoes then you will be more like 6foot 4 and 400 lbs at 62 if you live that long. The big key to eating healthy is simple. do not over eat ...eat when hungry and stop when you are not hungry ...not when you feel like you will burst. and eat a variety of foods. btw you are 21 and know nothing yet when I was 21 I was still learning and still am also did not follow these fad things at all and yes sir this is just a fad thing to make money ...do the math.
@haloshadowsnipe30146 жыл бұрын
I never use frozen fries, I have my own $100 stainless steel commercial grade french fry cutter. In fact, the only thing I have in my freezer is ice cubes, and ice cream. These are my steps: -Peel potatoes -Cut them with french fry cutter -Soak fries in cold water for 10 min -Cook in air fryer for 30 min Also obviously I don't eat the 2 pounds of fries by myself, I share it with my family. Nobody in my family is fat/obese and I personally go to the gym so I'm also lean (15% body fat). I'm not claiming to know everything, but it is a fact that the fries made in the air fryer have 80% less fat than deep fried fries. If you don't believe me you could just buy it and try it, and if you don't like it then just return it.

My second one just quit working - paddle would'nt rotate. So I took it apart. There is a combined motor/gear mechanism that sits beneath the paddle spindle. This was siezed solid and the exterior covered in oil. The machine is too useful to me not to replace, but I will be much more frugal with the oil.
