Warcelona : There's a sort of ham leg or something, that have multiple spawn points in the apartment after you leave the church. Journey to Splash Mountain is geniunely a classic, and it's a nice simple little campaign where the creator put a lot of love into the details. Dark Wood is awesome as well, up there alongside the likes of Suicide Blitz II and Back To School. It's amazing to see all of the inspirations from many horror icons done right, not to mention the easter eggs.

Just something to note but there's custom campaigns that do overhauls to the official campaigns by Valve such as No Mercy Rehab which is a complete overhaul to the No Mercy campaign along with restoring the L4D1 assets, but personally the best "custom" campaigns are ones that you can pretty much make with Manacat's "Random Object Spawner" mod as it will randomly generate the map each time it's loaded even after the team wipes and it even synergizes with some of Manacat's other mods like the "Random Car Alarm Controller" and "Random Item Spawner" as one can turn maps with just one car alarm to a potential five+ depending on the number of cars on the map and if the Tank can interact with them, while the other makes more spots for items to be spawned such as the spaces on the TV stands in the apartments of No Mercy as an example to even changing up the locations of where supplies are found for the finales like the Death Toll boathouse by default as the supplies behind it on the dock, that mod changes that static position into if my memory is right four different locations including the original position with one being upstairs in the boathouse itself.

Great list! Was surprised I didn't yet play UF or Warcelona before, gave them a try with a buddy and they're honestly some of the most fun campaigns I've every played. Cambalache 2 - Total Remake. As the name implies its a Remake of Cambalache and it takes place in Argentina. Taking place in the suburbs, a city, subway section, train station and finally a swamp like area for the Finale. Its makes use of custom music and voicelines, a new burning uncommon infected (will set you on fire if hit by) and custom clothing for the zombies to match the environment and culture (altough its all in spanish since it takes place in Argentina). It has an easter egg that involves our favorite gnome Chompski in which if you reunite him with his family at the fountain will grant a melee weapon that will 1 shot every infected (except for the witch and tank). It is well optimized and a really great campaign overall to play by yourself or with some buddies. EDIT: Something else I'd like to add. As for other custom maps optimization is something really important when it comes to ranking custom maps. There are really popular ones that me and many others can't really play due to hardware limitations and/or poor optimization. Back to School is a good example. My game crashes as soon as the intro cutscene ends. I don't how or why. I've disabled my mods and it still would crash. Daybreak is also another good example of poor optimization with the campaign crashing the game as soon as it finishes loading. Even when you play an older version certain (since the newest version keeps crashing the game) sections of chapters just tank the games performance like the street and bridge crossing section.

You should try Cambalache - Buenos Aires as custom Campaign. Made to be absolutely accurate to Buenos Aires, Argentina, nice scenarios design and also lots of references to our culture, personally I'm crying of laughter cause of certain ones.

That campaign is pretty hard to get working. I tried Cambalache 1 and 2, but unfortunately it crashes near the beginning for some reason, probably doesn’t like my mods. I heard good things about it though and I might try to disable all my mods to experience it first hand

My personal faves have to be "I Hate Mountains 2, Back to School, Dead Before Dawn 2 DC, Yama, Suicide Blitz 2, Day Break, Salt Hell Park, The Bloody Moors, Freezer Burn, Undead Zone, Zengcheng, Frozen, Fatal Freight, and One 4 Nine." And of course Energy Crisis and Urban Flight which have already been mentioned. I also want to mention Chernobyl Chapter One, Dniepr, and Deep Phobia, but they are not plug-and-play like the others, and need a *_lot_* of workarounds to get running properly. I also recommend checking out the Rocinante Server mod list as Dannbo has made several remasters of various classic campaigns, but kept them hidden from the main workshop out of respect to the original authors. His takes on Undead Zone and Tour of Terror are massive improvements from the originals.

Cutscenes, unique gameplay features, good attention to detail, custom voice acting and much more. Very underrated map imo

You need to check out 2019 II The Director's Cut or try out the 2019 Trilogy (2019, 2019 II and 2032) It has a good storyline of how these campaigns end up being a trilogy. The most favorite by far is the sequel itself, trust me you are gonna love 2019 II as it's the peak of the 2019 trilogy.
