@Sabundy4 жыл бұрын
IMHO Dyson fans are a lot like Apple fans in that they behave like people in a cult. There is little objective criticism of the products and instead a lot of mindless fawning over the product regardless of the actual quality. It just has the right brand name on it....thus it's "good".

Merci chef! I was about to buy one, but I think I’ll stick to my honeywell. For that price I would expect some higher quality.
@TEKDAD4 жыл бұрын
It isn’t worth it. The full price I mean. Some people will say otherwise however since it’s subjective. But the truth, just buy a portable AC at that price or try find the Dyson on mega sale.
@cundinamarca83 жыл бұрын
What honeywell model are you referring to?
@JBrm3 жыл бұрын
@@TEKDAD portable ACs are not the solution if you don't have a way to get rid of the hot air (e.g. if you can't blast a hole in your wall), cause then you'll just heat up your room even more while you think you're cooling. And mobile ACs are seriously dangerous if you have a gas boiler in your house!!!
@mordmartin2 жыл бұрын
The "Cool" naming is there to imply that it cools you down when you're feeling hot and not to cool the room as like an air conditioner.
@TEKDAD2 жыл бұрын
I know but a lot of customers believe otherwise unfortunately mainly because of the price. Like, at that price, it’s surely cooling for real. I see a lot of comments like this and even some believe the dyson fan is AC.

i had one of these and will tell you now - a cheap 20$ fan does basically the same if not even better. This is just a high tech version of the desktop fan but with a higher price tag. Its something Apple wishes it had come up with as its a good money spinner for a cheap product. I actually returned mine back to the shop as i could not justify the price and i brought a cheap fan from B and Q

Found mine on the sidewalk! Cleaned the turbine and it works nicely. It looks like about 30euros worth of parts for the whole thing. The motor is small and high rpm. Probably the ‘toughest’ part of the build is balancing the turbine before assembly. It has marks on it. The motor is suspended on springs and there is foam on the base to absorb noise. Even Though it is very cheap to make, there is quality autocad work beforehand. The fluid dynamics engineers did rather well! Now I need to find a remote :) Merci !

I'd love to have one of these. High tech fan! Better than your average regular fan. But it is expensive! NZ$499! It's safer in which you won't have to worry about getting injured by a moving fan blade regardless of the blade cage in traditional fans. You can still squeeze a finger through, especially for kids.

I had the table top version of this fan (Dyson Air Multiplier AM06 Table Fan, 10 Inches) but I had to return it due to the led display at the bottom being so bright at night, in which this model seems to have the same exact led light as well. The led display light on the table fan version was SO BRIGHT at night that it was a distraction. I mean, it was super bright! Wondering how the led display on this model is at night? Nobody ever seems to talk about the led displays on fans with how low or dim the brightness is at night.

I have the same one in the smaller size (AM06) and the worst thing about it apart of the horrible noise is, as you can't clean the intake of the air, (where there are a lot of small holes) a lot of dust build up in there and now I have random dust balls shot out the the fan randomly, it's horrible. You can only clean the top part where the air comes out.

As an engineer, Lightweight and can produce quiet powerful airflow I wouldn't say it's *Cheap* design just because it's lightweight and flexible, aircrafts are lightweight and Flex. using Aluminium for the blade can kill the oscillating motor earlier. weight is everything, you aren't supposed to kick it or throw it around it just needs to blow air at you lol. makes it nicer to carry and move around. As with any product can have problems, just get it replaced.

The air sucking openings are very low on this machine and very near to the ground, so I'm wondering if this is actually blowing all the dust from the ground around the place. Also, is this turbine easy to open and to clean inside every once in a while? Coz every ventilator gets dusty blades after some time of operation, and not removing it is not only unhealthy, but also reduces air blowing efficiency dramatically.

Technically doesn’t any ceiling fan not have a cooling mechanism? Don’t all fans make some noise? All fans to me just seem supplementary to an air conditioner. Like, if you turn your AC off in the summer, but have your fan on...it’s still going to be hot AF.

How about you check out AM09, or TP04, maybe even HP04, or just a BP01 ? I sadly Agree with Dyson's AM07 is overpriced for what it, but I have experience with other products of Dyson, which is 100% worth their price

Great review. I'm from Europe so I wouldn't know but is French Canadians' English normally like this? It's almost like a different language, you seemed to be even struggling to pronounce and find words at times. Interesting. But overall the content is not bad at all. Thanks.

Yes. It’s not only the accent, I’m not perfectly bilingual also like the majority of the population. Some may have the accent but are using the right vocabulary. Most French Canadians are worse than me however. If you want to listen to a known French Canadian: try George Saint-Pierre (GSP), the MMA fighter. You have Celine Dion also but I think her English Is good now.

By the way, we also have a accent in French (our cousins from France have difficulty understanding us but we don’t). But I’m not struggling to speak it ;)

Hah, that's a pity. I listen to one podcast with a F-C guy in his late twenties and he just sometimes misses some a word but the speech was great so I had no idea. Thanks for the education on the matter and a nice tip for listening, your time generally 😊 Since you are so nice let me also tell you that the new videos are quite something! Great products and great production value. Nice info about your accent but honestly, as a non-native speaker, I wouldn't care even if you stuttered, especially as your subscriber. If you feel like it is a problem, try to think about what is your target audience, age and geolocation. Thanks and keep up the great work, good luck :)

Thanks you very much. So kind. If I was perfectly fluent in English, it would me SO MUCH easier for me. But it’s better now than it was 2 years ago. I’m doing this for fun and to improve my English ;)

For anyone who has one...is it loud enough on high to drown out outside noises? As most shift workers know you learn to sleep with a somewhat noisy fan all the time so it's a consistent sound and/or if you have small children at home. Box and pedestal fans all eventually start rattling! We bought an enclosed ceiling fan that's gorgeous and goes from low to loud. However, it rattles inconsistently at that! Reviews were mixed and now I know which ones were spot on! 🥴 We aren't looking for cold air. Boggles my mind people just assumed this blew cold air. It's just a fan. Guy in review thinks it's loud, but is it shift worker loud enough? We usually run any fan on medium so that's what we'd need from this fan. We just need something not ugly that won't eventually rattle! HELP! lol PS I personally liked his accent! Sounds way better than our hillbilly hick accent! 🤭

I own one and on level 10 and it’s pretty loud.. Not sure if “shift worker loud” but it is loud.

Can you include how you got the coupons, or how we can find similar valid coupons in the US?

It was in 2018, EBAY had crazy coupons all the time.

Try a good Honeywell maybe. Check reviews on amazon. By the way, ceiling fans are the best when it’s possible.
