This game is so bizarre. Metamorphosis being right on this guy's desk first thing upon starting the game, the old lady, the employee just screwing off to the back room while there's still someone there shopping, the player just deciding to enter in through the back door into the staff room without a single thought, no one reacting at all to the car crash, and then the game just abruptly ending after running the monster over like roadkill. What a trip from start to finish.

Teke Teke used to be a high school girl who was bullied, one day while running away from her bullies she got into a train incident and died, her body split in half. Legend says her top part is still lurking around the same train station, walking on her hands, making the sound like "teke teke teke", searching for her other part.... I knew this legend so I was very delighted to see Mark play it! thanks Mark, an amazing video again.

Ye her bullies chased her down all the way to trains tracks and they pushed her onto the tracks and just in time the train 🚂 came and hit her b4 she could get up and save herself and it tore the bottom half of her body off with only the top remaining ofc, and so nowadays she roams around as a restless spirit on the train tracks with her nails 💅 touching the tracks making a “teke teke” sound hence her name and if u hear it run cuz if u don’t and if u get close enough she might jus c u and reach for u and grab u and pull u onto the tracks so u can suffer the same fate as her

The story of Teke Teke was told by my English teacher who taught our Japanese class at our school (he lived in Japan for over 20 years it made an interesting person) and he is a great story teller so when he told this story it scared the shit out of me, and my class. The girls made up rumors that Teke Teke was living in our school's bathroom (it was in the basement of the school and old as FUCK) and it became a school legend that people still think she haunts the stalls along with another ghost that haunts the far left stall.

The reason for all the convenience store horror is that there are convenience stores every couple of blocks. Theyre so common that I'm sure there are some creepy and unsettling ones. I bet it was because in Japan the don't really get lively late at night I mean they have curfews and such but they also just mostly stay indoor unless you are at the cities. the thing is convenience store are open 24hours and it is just odd feels to be the only one awake at night when people don't really go out at night and guess what, the most possibly reason for a person to go out at night is just because they need to buy something from a convenience store but yeh I guess most of the horror games are set at night so my point is Convenience store is one of the place to go late at night. You would even do it with a purpose not just as random as "lets investigate an abandoned house at night" so the fear is very relatable

She's looking for her lower half of her body that she lost in a train accident. "Teke teke" is japanese auditory description of what she sounds like when she's crawling around. Teke teke(pronounced ‘teh-keh teh-keh’) is from a Japanese urban legend regarding a legless ghost girl who walks on her hands. ‘Teke teke’ is supposed to be Japanese onomatopoeia representing the sound of her elbows dragging on the ground as she moves. Upon encountering an individual, she is said to cut their body in half to make them just like how she is.

It's pronounced Tek-a Tek-a, Teke Teke. It's because when she crawls around, her nails make a teke teke sound. Teke teke, is a Japanese urban legend about the ghost of a schoolgirl who is said to have fallen onto a railway line, where her body was cut in half by a train. She is an onryō, or a vengeful spirit, who lurks in urban areas and around train stations at night. Since she no longer has a lower body, she travels on her hands, dragging her upper torso and making a scratching or "teke teke"-like sound. If she encounters an individual, she will chase them and slice them in half at the torso, killing them in such a way that mimics her own disfigurement.

Teke Teke is a Japanese Urban legend, The story goes that there was a high school girl who had been horribly bullied by her peers as she was running away from her bullies she tripped and fell.... right in front of a train, which subsequently removed her top half from her bottom half, she now roams around the subway station as a head and torso, getting her revenge. The name Teke Teke comes from the sound she supposedly makes as she hunts you.

The legend of the Teke Teke is one of my favorites. She was once an office woman named Kashima Reiko. A traumatic event happened (not a good idea to explain it, trust me) and she was devastated. She tried to "unalive" herself by jumping off a bridge onto train tracks. She didn't die from the fall but was cut in half at the waist when the next train ran her over. She died later on. Resentful, she became a Yokai, haunting train stations and hunts people like in this game. It is possible to survive unharmed but it's very hard to do so
@Miko._vids08
@Miko._vids08 Жыл бұрын
She is also my favorite legend, but ive heard 2 different sides, one is the way u tell it but the other side, which i believe is the actual legend is that Reiko was getting beaten to death by this group of guys on the train tracks and soon a train was coming by and it ended up killing her by cutting her in half, because of that the guys ran off but when she started to haunt people, the reason she did was to get back at everyone because no one tried to help her at all when she was getting beating by the group of guys and now she seeks revenge to kill everyone who looks at her and cut them in half like her.

I think the thing about Japanese convenience stores in horror games is that they're incredibly mundane. You wouldn't expect scary things so they're scarier. Also there some of the only places open 24 hours so you can stage the game late at night
@spencerbean8802
@spencerbean8802 Жыл бұрын
Its not quite the same when you stop by a gas station convenience store in the States. They're already shifty enough in the daytime without having to worry about some Teketeke-esque spirit hunting you. Even if your local Wal-Mart is open 24 hours a day, those places are really off-putting at night. Then again, I've never been to Japan, so I have no idea how safe people feel going to convenience stores in the middle of the night.
@gandalfcow717
@gandalfcow717 Жыл бұрын
@@spencerbean8802 I lived in Japan for a time and honestly the 24 hour convince stores are really comforting. They're usually really clean and the staff at least pretends to be cool with you being there. Also really good to have when it's 12 am and your drunk friends want snacks. As far as the horror element goes I think it is about subversion. They're safe and bright places you wouldn't think could hold danger from the offset. But they are also sparcely populated late at night and night often holds danger so it's not completely outlandish that something bad /could/ happen.

Oh my god, Teke Teke was the first horror story I ever heard! It was called “Click-Click Slide” in my area and I was around 7 or 8 when I heard it. In Japan, convenience stores are plentiful , one every couple of blocks and open 24/7. Going to a brightly lit convenience store at 4am when the rest of the town is asleep and seemingly deserted is an experience to be sure. Also, the only other person you really see is the clerk, and often they can be in the back room and have to come out when you arrive in the store. Though they don’t always come out straight away either. Also, in my small town the traffic lights went to flashing yellow after midnight as it was so deserted then, though we were a small town in between two small cities, so it wasn’t usually an unbuisy place during the day. I actually found it really peaceful. And it was nice cycling down the deserted road and listening to the frogs in the rice fields, only quieting down when my bicycle light disturbed them. A max of maybe one car every 5-10 minutes passing by. The rural night streets in Japan always felt safe but still could be eerie in the right mindset. I loved cycling it but I don’t think I’d have enjoyed walking in it, in the same way. Can totally see why this would be a staple in Japanese horror games.
