This video is everything everyone needs. Just to add my two cents, Yoshi's flash variations all come out one frame slower if in crouch, also Xiaoyu's b1 is 8~13 depending on range.

I am very impressed with the level of detail in these PhidX videos. It's remind me of the old Tekken Zaibatsu site back in college. Where you got most of the tech that wasn't common knowledge... I enjoyed the content and find it super helpful. I have played every Tekken Game from T1 to T8... I like the nuance in seeing the concept playing out and notes to backup the lesson... Keep doing your thing young man... I am a Paul, Mardux main. I think this video and other have helped more than just notes on a web page...

These are the videos I watch from Phidx, most the time I don’t particularly want to watch him but if I see anything frame traps, Mix ups or specific character videos are what I look for and I’m here for it. Best thing about this channel is “I’m not there yet but I’m going to save the video for when this is troubling me” which is the beauty of Tekken, work on things in your own time and stop overloading yourself!

Very nice video. What helped me the most was the sites at the end. I kind of knew what my traps were from other guides/docs but, testing it on my own after seeing the frame data myself, helped me understand on a deeper level which will be my go-tos and which are more situational. Can't wait to test it out in some ranked matches. Keep doing these videos I've been improving a lot from them, see you on stream.

Jack’s main low is i12 db1. He can spam it more, because opponent’s hopkick loses to it already in +4 situation. It is also so fast that in -1 situation is still trades with most fast mids (i13). Which is great against mashers. It’s one of the best low pokes in the game. Most other characters have to condition their opponent first not to press before they can start using their slow lows.

One thing about mental frame advantage and mixups with high string enders. Sometimes I duck string high ender (launch punish) and opponent next time doesn’t finish the string but hopkicks instead. And I block the hopkick and punish. String ender is much faster than stopping the string + doing hopkick. You can’t mix like that. Opponent will duck quickly and return to standing block. If your opponent respects your mental frames, then you need a full mixup. Both low and mid after it. The high ender is not part of that mixup.
@sebbbi29 ай бұрын
In some cases there’s also option selects for high enders. For example opponent can use a high crush move to beat the high and also counterhit your mental frame mixup at the same time. You can beat that option select with hopkick or low parry or possibly step or backdash. There’s always layers.
