That stance 5:29 is called “jodan uchi uke” 😂 it confirms my suspicions for years that the Mishima style fighting technique is based on a rare martial art called Kyokushin Kai. It’s a block that can go into various other attacks and options. They portrayed it accurately lol 9:01 the big powerful right kick is a staple move in Kyokushin.

If we think about the previous Heihachi/Story trailer, it seems that Lidias fathers, another old dude knows Heihachi. Lidia appears in the story too. So probably he learned some of her Karate from him too or something. Or some old Bromance and he sacrificed him to getting ressurected. Anyway, gameplay wise he looks nutty af. Really curois how he is. But visually, they nailed his design. He looks great! And the new VA is a very good replacement.

Kunimitsu better be next! This version of Heihachi further EXPOSES the incredible limitations and lack of skills they gave to Kazuya. Namco has effectively made Kazuya the Vegeta of the series (the old vegeta) in the face of Heihachi being Brolly, when Vegeta was paralyzed with fear. They simply didn’t give Kazuya enough to be relevant. Even the newest member of the Mishima’s has more to offer. Thanks Namco!
