Man, people nowadays don't appreciate a good game that was casual friendly. Everything needs to be sweaty and for basement dwellers only. I love this take because it doesn't forget that fighting games are aimed for entertainment, it was meant to be enjoyed.

Tekken 8 for sure has evolved and grown up with us through the years. As we got better and evolved, so has Tekken! Aged like fine wine, can't say the same about myself, lol!🤣 Although... they nerfed my main Asuka😭

Nightmare for this 90s kid that’s been in tekken fold since 2. Bryan main since 3… ATP I only have the game because my bro climbing that mountain and I’m the best training dummy you can ask for. like NBA2K, the prowess & sticksmanship is being replaced with accessibility/animations. Which no longer makes a fighting game, but more A Movie-In-Motion… Being able to take 75%Health with 2, 1 button attacks *timed right* , EVERY ROUND… *IS ASURAS WRATH* This the first fighting game I played that made it hard to respect my opponent. Because they have SO MUCH to hide behind. And to me, breeds a false sense of reality/confidence/skill. But “Satan revealing himself” IS the story of the game so maybe it’s intended to breed such energies. Ironic how it’s a casual game, but in the tekken community you unheard unless you top ranked…that’s how lame shh done got. Makes me wanna make my own fighting game for real.

I've been with Tekken since the first one. Kind of, more the second because they just got the latest arcade machine and I wasn't allowed to play yet, so I started with 1 lol But anyway, yeah. I like T8 a lot honestly. Game's pretty hype.

@@FieryAnubis the 1st time I played Tekken was on that demo disc with T2, I've been a fan ever since I did the chest kick backflip with Lei Wulong 😄

I think I’ll give tekken 8 a chance but 7 will always be my favorite. Bob/Slim Bob is the homie.

It’s not for me, I do not like the style of Tekken since t7. I love Tekken just like you said my first ps1 game was Tekken 3 but I played the first and second in the arcades. Theres just something weird about games made today that I don’t like.

@ yeah I know what it is it’s that they design t7 and t8 to be more focused for the FGC which brought the mechanics that we know today. The game just feels almost too accessible now like characters don’t need to be taken to the lab (practice modes) anymore.

For long time fans tekken 8 story was trash but better then any other fighting game story which isnt saying much. I grew up with the game so i guess i was hoping for them to double down on the crazy tekke aspect and leave the comeback mechanics and easy ish i soul cal but instead they killed soul cal o purpose to make tekken 8 better and tekken 7 so i hate this game but its still a really solid game
