Man I have no idea how Xiaoyu players even approach other characters with her T-rex arms and stubby legs. Such a cool looking character though when you get into that flow state after getting the initial hit.

As someone who has played with Xiaoyu, you're one of the first I see to say she has bad range. Actually, her range got better with moves like ub 3

@@iceteabreakwhy are yall acting like ss3 isn’t reactable, also d3 is def not a key move, and ub3 is punishable like hell, xiaoyu does not have ranged pokes she has to be close up and use cancels a lot

I don't think she needs range pokes when she has awesome punish response due to cancel and stance set ups. Like, she doesn't need range since the enemies will try their luck to hit you, and they can only do that by moving towards you. (I'm only Mighty Ruler with Xiaoyu so take my opinion with a grain of salt)

@@treehann The opponent is NOT TECH ROLLING AND STAYING GROUNDED. If they do so, I can pick them up with ff3 after ws4 and do a combo.

I think "escaping" is the wrong mentality. It will naturally happen over time as you get better at the game. Rank is just a badge and nothing more. Strong fundamentals, solid defense, optimized combos, effective punishment and being able to pilot her movement and you can easily reach god ranks. Just take your time don't look for cheesy cheap strats to inflate your rank.

How in the world were you guessing those lows correctly against Lars? Maybe the Lars was being predictable but the animation for the mid & the low is practically the same 🤧
