Given what a gap Doflamingo would've left in that underworld market, and how cunning Crocodile is at taking advantage of situations on a large scale sense, I can see it. I could go so far to even see Crocodile "following" Luffy (as in following his progress such as we see him reading a newspaper about him) and immediately concludes that when he gets involved with Caesar and SMILES, that Luffy will be a large wrench in Doflamingo's operations and likely stop him as he stopped Croc. He could've planned it for a while and been part of the underworld already, but as soon as Luffy got involved his long-term plans became short-term, as I doubt he would underestimate Luffy again knowing all his feats, and instead of getting in the way of him, he just sees to pick up from where a villain Luffy beats up but probably remains more discreet to not get in his way anytime soon. Infact if Oda would wanna spin Crocodile to become "good", he could use all the criminal underworld strings to support the Revolutionary Army if they guarantee him power after the World Government is toppled down. Even then I can see him supporting them without "good" intentions and infact just wants enough chaos so he can rise and take the throne.

I think Crocodile is preparing for the Throne Wars. Considering how much of a schemer he is. I can kind of see it going something like this. All of the various factions line up with their full fleets. Crocodile rolls up with a relatively small fleet of the new Baroque Works. Right as Blackbeard calls to attack. Crocodile lights a cigar and casually orders "Mr. 1, it's time" and Daz Bones just fires a flare into the sky suddenly across all od the enemy fleets shouting and guns fire. A bunch of ships replace their faction flags with that of Baroque Works. A flash back reveals he had his agents infiltrate and instigate a series of mutinies, suddenly his fleet is twice the size and in the center of the enemy.

Robins betrayel of crocodile caused crocodile to be furious wich hindered his ability to properly use his powers. Against moria, there just happened to be a group there that captured and learned how to use shadows to upgrade luffy.

I don't think Daz was disgusted, just suprised. There's also a theory he knew Croco before the Baroque Works because (don't quote me on this) apparently, when he asks "You are our boss?" in Japanese, he uses a type of "you" that is okay/polite for people you know well, but rude for people you aren't extremely familiar with. Definitely something you wouldn't refer to your boss by if he didn't know Crocodile before, but again, i could be wrong

Sir Crocodile is one of my all-time favorite One Piece characters and I hope that he will play a major/significant role in the conclusion of the Series. He should at minimum have Armorment and Observation Haki, best case scenario (in my opinion), he is an awakened devil-fruit user, has a bounty of 1.1 Billion and is on par with an Admiral. But realistically speaking I think Tekkings bounty range (700-900 Million) is quite accurate.

Honestly Crocodile is most definitely an awakened Logia. I mean for one that sandstorm was created literally in the palm in his hand, and was implied he was purposefully bombarding Yuba regularly. we saw him dehydrate humans gras, and breaking the very stone into sand. And It's not concrete but isn't it a little weird that the rains started to fall almost immediately, as if some outside force was keeping it from raining. You know how people have been talking about how dangerous it would be if the Warlords created a pirate alliance after it was abolished? Maybe Crocodile could be the one to gather them up. He is no stranger to recruiting people from all walks of life or running an organization, maybe he saw in the paper that the Warlords were abolished and he decided they could really bolster his chances against the Yonko. So it is possible that he had plans to gather strong cutthroats during those two years but this news was the catalyst to put Crocodile back into action sooner than he may have initially wanted.

I've always had this theory that Crocodile is actually Luffy's uncle, no relation to Garp or Dragon, I think he's the brother of Luffy's mum. When he's a teen in the SBS cover he looks extremely similar to Luffy, but a more cooler version I guesa and Oda did state that Croc was actually the most similar to Luffy before he lost his crew to WB. Also, why did he save Ace at marinefold and protect Luffy multiple times after his talk with Ivankov in Impel Down... I have so many more questions and possible evidence, so we'll see what happens, but I think Oda is planting the seeds before our eyes or he's a possible D lol maybe both

Firstly, Crocodile needs to learn Armament Haki and Observation Haki, at least to Level 2. Else, no point moving to Laugh Tale, just to get wasted by Luffy...

No doubt cocordile was very strong and the reason behind that he not learning haki was because his ego was hurt by his opponents every time telling that logia users are coky . So despite having talent and knowing importance of haki he didn't learn haki was just to show that he get strong without haki. Now that after battle with lufy being his ass beaten now he would put his ego aside. Now he will surely learn haki .That's no big deal for him. His power upgrade: 1: awakening (changes weather at any place and time) 2: black sand with armament haki 3: creates soilders of sand if sand is infused with sea water if opponents figures his weaknesses with water 4: if ALREADY IN DESEART OR DRY ARE WITHOUT NEED TO CHANGE THEM TO DESERT HE WILL BE ADMIRAL LEVEL. 4:HAS SOME OF SMART IMPEL DOWN PRISONERS WORKING UNDER HIM.

There is a point that a lot of people forget that at the end of the drum island arc logia ability to manipulate weather and change it permanently was show when the Bull-guy talked about ace where he first mentioned he said that a guy came to this island and on that day it didn't snow and wasn't that cold and we later found about ace's devil fruit being fire and heat and later in Arabasta Crocodile changed roof top of castle to sand and when he was defeated and unconscious the rain started to Drop again that was a hint on him having his devil fruit awakened or maybe close to it as it was clear that he has been changing the weather of Arabasta for THREE WHOLE YEARS and that is the reason he probably wasn't that strong or couldn't show his full strength .

Now that you mention it, Oda and especially anime department have really rubbed it in that Crocodile is a serious player even in stage like Marineford war. I never really thought about it. He did receive quite a lot of screen time and clashes with big names for a guy that was defeated early in the Paradise saga. I agree that he's going to have a role in final battles. Not a major one, just kinda of a independent wild card

But like now that crocodile isnt a warlord and a full on pirate what reason would he have to support him, I dont know theres being a hero then theres crocodile who planned wipe out an entire country, I don't see any of those two goals aligning. If mr one aligned with crocodile despite those facts and still considered him as a hero and the good guy then personally I would consider him an idiot. I mean they were prepared to basically nuke the entirety of alabaster. Some sure, but as organizations? Doesn't mean what crocolide did was ok. Crocodiles vision was mostly pure evil and piracy. Luffy never hurt innoncents crocodile did. Look at zoro he was a bounty hunter, did he plan to kill thousands of innoncents. No but bones did and agreed without a second thought it seems

BTW: aside from it, I always thought about him coming back and --- team up with Luffy against a Yonko? If he awakened his fruit, he can easily set a sand storm there and interfere with all the fights on Wano. We've seen Crocodile watching Luffy's improvements, so I think he knows how powerful the boy is and they've already teamed up at Marineford. Maybe, I think, he used those 2 years to train a little more, with Mr 1, perhaps. I think we won't see him alone but with one or more allies.

I like the idea of Bountyhunters. I've asked myself often why the criminals and pirates all get these high Bounties but we never see Hunters coming after them, especially any strong ones. The Bounties are pretty much just an indication on how much the WG is hating these people and nothing else.
