Ive ridden these bad boys for many years. The key thing to take in mind while being a passenger is to relax, don't panic, stay still and trust the driver. If you are squeamish or decide to panic, it will throw off the balance of the motorcycle. It can also cause the driver to panic and make the motorcycle wobble. I can say that this ride is not for the faint of heart.

It is a skill everyone acquires at a very young age when exposed to this mode of transport. No different to being a passenger on just the back seat. Gyroscopic effects come into play when the motorcycle is in motion. With both feet on the ground easy to balance the weight, you can see everyone gets on and off in sync.

Reminds me of the time I tipped my '78 beater Goldwing over at my gravel road mailbox (foot slipped, while stopped) I had a full 10 gallon propane tank, a 50 lb bag of dog food, both tied on outside, and the side boxes full of groceries, and I couldn't pick it back up. A local rancher stopped, helped me stand it back up, and asked me if I ever thought of getting a pickup, I told him I had one up the mountain, but save it for big loads.

This is not "habal-habal". The word habal refers to the mating act usually of a male pig behind a female pig. "Habal-habal" are the motorcycle taxi's where a passenger is the back-rider and repeating the word 'habal' means like imitating the mating act. This is actually what they call "skylab". Why? Skylab before it crashed into the ocean, had solar panels like flaps on its sides. This here, the motorcycle has seating structures on its sides making it look similar to the skylab. These are commonly found in the Agusan area of Mindanao in the Philippines. Not really very common in the Philippines. Of course they have very practical reasons for this: one, it's very cost effective, two, it can go where tricycles/tuk-tuks have a hard time going through rough roads like that at 4:25, three, it can even go through pathways too narrow for three or four wheeled vehicles. Of course the people are already experts on riding this. Notice how they all hop in at the same time at 3:38 and hop off at the same time on 5:46. Yes it can be very dangerous if even only one of of the passengers panic and jumps off. Incredible but true. Great content, thanks for the video.

The Bike he’s using is the expensive heavy-duty kind. He could easily trade it for a much cheaper 3-wheeled Tricycle or large Electric Cart for that price. He probably wants to keep his, probably he goes on single long-distance traveling during vacation time.

@inisipisTV I like it. It's very clever. When I was young, we would ride three people on a mini bike. Two on the seat and one on the handle bars. However, there would be less risk by having someone fabricate a trailer. I understand that when you don't have things you have to work with what you got.
